TOPNOTCH 2NOTCH

A movement dedicated to the life of rap artist Lil' D aka Derek Osborne is finally in effect. Born in South Carolina, Lil' D grew up on the grimey streetz of Columbia, real gutta and straight to the point Lil' D was an aspring artist thriving to be heard by large groups. Well known in his hood representing G-Shyne/GKB he was respected by everyone who knew of him. He put his lyrics to use by teaching others about the reality of street life from his own experiences, from drugs to murder and crooked cops. In coming to Fairmont, West Virginia to persue his music career with 2Notch, he made many tracks under the Mobblife Music Group like "Trapped In The Game" and "Man Up". Lil D had very few friends in Fairmont and began to develop enemies. Lil D was feared and misunderstood by many people. He caught a break on May 27th 2007 and got to perform at a local night club. May 28th 2007 (Memorial Day) Lil D was pronounced dead after a shootin occured outside of a house he was staying in.

2Notch and J.V.Ward created the movement TOPNOTCH 2NOTCH to support the life of Lil D and artists surviving the same struggles. This Movement is to realize Lil D's dream of raising his citys block, helping his family and friends get out the game, and creating a record deal with profit oppurtunitys. Lil D wanted a future for young black children trapped in the game, and a chance to give chances.
