Winning Pitcher: Alex Christianson in relief of Ross Cariveau going 1 inning giving up no runs on 1 hit striking out 3 and walking 1.

Cariveau went 9 innings allowing 3 runs on 7 hits with 1 HR, 3 K’s and 3 BB.

Losing Pitcher: Chris Gilson going the distance (10 innings) with 3 runs on 10 hits, striking out 3 and 5 walks.

Catcher: Doug Dickey

 

For Detroit Lakes Gen Magnusson went 3 - 5

For East Grand Forks Alex Christianson 2 - 5, Joe Hanson 2 - 4, Cody Grassel 2 - 4, Chris Gilson HR in the 9^th.

 

East Grand Forks led 3-1 into the 9^th & Chris Gilson hit a two run homer to tie the game.  Bottom of the 10^th E.G.F. came up with a run to win the game.

Justin Larson went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI for East Grand Forks and Braden Rahman for Moorhead went 4 for 5 with 2 runs.  Matt Penner for Moorhead had a HR.

With 2 outs in the 8^th inning an E-5 on Thief River led to 5 runs for Fergus.  Fergus scored 2 insurance runs in the 9^th.

Perham’s Tyler Lynne went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored, Ben Omberg went 2 for 2 scoring 1 run.

Roseau’s Adam Kncohenmus went 2 for 5 and Tyler Organ went 2 for 5 with 1 run scored.

For Detroit Lakes; Reed Oistad was 4 for 5, with 2 runs; Ben Magnusson 3 for 5 with 1 run, Connor McLeod, 3 for 3 with 3 runs, Max Bentley 3 for 3 with 2 runs.

For Thief River Falls; Jorden Espeseth was 2 for 1, Cody Conners 2 for 4 with 2 runs.

Myles Keefe and Cody Conners for Thief River Falls had Home Runs.

 

Thief River Falls pulled Spencer off the mound starting the 4^th inning and Detroit Lakes erupted for 7 runs off Ben Espeseth.

Mike Lukkason went 3 for 4 with 2 runs, Kyle Storbakken 2 for 4 with 1 run, Alex Christiansen 3 for 3 with 1 run and Cody Grassel 2 for 3 with 2 runs for East Grand Forks.  In the 4^th inning three out of the first four batters for EGF walked and scored.

For Fergus Falls Conner Kerr went 2 for 4 and 4 RBI, Andy Lee 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored.

For Moorhead Braden Rahman was 2 for 2 scoring 2 runs, Kyle VanDyke 4 for 4 with 2 runs, Sam Grantham was 3 for 3 scoring 1 run.

 

Too many walks by Fergus Falls pitching and Fergus Falls inability to get runniers in from scoring position led to their defeat.  In the 8^th innings Moorhead pushed 4 runs across.

Winning Pitcher: Jon Tolbert went the full seven innings giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, striking out 8 and walking 1.

     In relief: Logan Kern, 5-1/3 innings, 6 runs on 9 hits, 2 K’s.

For East Grand Forks, Cody Grassel went 2 for 3 and for Detroit Lakes, Reed Oistad went 4 for 5 and 2 homers, Jake Kiebke went 3 for 5, Ben Magnuson went 2 for 4 with 1 run, Adam Thielen was 2 for 4 with 2 runs and Max Bentley was 2 for 4.

Winning Pitcher: Nick Polejewski went the distance giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, striking out 6 and walking 2.  Doug Dickey was behind the plate for Polejewski.

 

Losing Pitcher: Kyle Shaikoski, 6-1/3 innings, 8 runs on 8 hits, 4 strike-outs and 2 walks.

In relief; Nick Johnson, 2/3 inning, 3 runs on 2 hits, 1 HR, 1 K and 2 BB.

               Alex Kvidt, 2 innings, 4 runs on 5 hits, 1 K, 1 BB.

Catcher: Erik Rohlfs

 

For Fergus Falls; Matt Hanson went 2 for 4 with 1 run.

For Detroit Lakes: Reed Oistad was 2 for 5, Jake Kiebke, 2 for 5, Doug Dickey 2 for 5, Ben Magnusson 2 for 6 and Chris Gilson 2 for 5.  Adam Thielen had a three run home run.

 

The three run shot by Thielen in the top of the 7^th broke the game wide open.

Losing Pitcher: Doug Dickey, pitched 6 innings, allowing 9 runs on 11 hits, 3 strike-out and 4 walks.

     In Relief: Brock Johnson, 1 inning, 1 run on 2 hits with 1 strike-out

Catcher: Breandon Johnson

 

Leading hitters for Moorhead were Tyler Schotfeldt 3 for 4 with 1 run, Matt Penner 2 for 4 with 1 run and Sam Grantham 2 for 4.  Moorheads Kyle VanDyke had a home run.

 

A 5 run 6^th inning broke the game open for Moorhead.  VanDyke piched a great game only allowing 2 hits.

 

Moorhead by winning earns a berth in the Minnesota State American Legion Tournament to be held at Burnsville, Mn
