Of all the video game characters ever created, Earthworm Jim is one of
the few who may very well have a genre all to himself. Anyone can guess
that he's an earthworm, but could anyone who has never played an
Earthworm Jim title know about Jim's Power Suit, his love for cows, his
fear of aliens, his huge arsenal of weapons, his hilarious voice
acting, or his legendary battles with gigantic balls of snot?
No? Didn't think so. Earthworm Jim is one of those characters who is so
damned off the wall that both he and his games manage to mix a ton of
random insanity together to deliver an amazing, funny product to its
audience. I say again, where else will you find a worm that rescues
cows from aliens and battles gigantic balls of snot? That kicks ass! It's
this type of random insantiy that has made Earthworm Jim one of the
most likeable characters of all time, and even though he hasn't had the
biggest career in the gaming industry, his appearances will never be
forgotten among those who have played his games.

Extrapolated Strength --- 57th Place [12.25%]
Everyone knew that Earthworm Jim had no
chance of even doing well against Mega Man, but then again, no one
really cared. Earthworm Jim is one of those characters who is so
beloved that even in an embarassing loss, everyone was glad that he was
even in a match in the first place. His one match with Mega Man, even
though it may likely be the only match he is ever involved in, was more
a celebration of Jim finally making the field than it was a mourning of
his loss. It must be nice to be so damned cool that your own fans are
happy even when you lose.
