Mushroom Round 1 --- Lost to (4) Sigma, 31732 [46.51%] - 36494 [53.49%]
Extrapolated Strength --- 23rd Place [16.50%]
Those of you who are reading this site in alphabetical order, take
note. The Spring 2005 Contest was a contest that featured 32 villains.
This was a fairly good idea, but you'll notice that there are many
characters who have appeared in the Spring 2005 Contest and no where
else.
The reason for this is fairly simple. Aside from a select few
individuals in that particular contest, virtually the entire field was
fodder. Andross is the first example of this, but he won't be the last.
In the only match of his contest career, he lost to Sigma in what we
once thought was a fairly impessive performance. But then Sigma went
and got himself blown away by Bowser, which made Andross look pathetic
by extension. Andross's only real saving grace is that these stats
underestimate him a tad due to possible SFF in Sigma's loss to Bowser,
though it's not something worth pinning hopes on should Andross ever
see another contest match. A very large percentage of the Spring 2005
field won't ever see another contest unless they're the recipient of
massive board support and/or we happen to see another villain contest
in the future.
Though on the bright side, Andross avoiding being SFFd to hell by Sigma
was somewhat of an accomplishment. Many felt that Sigma being the main
villain of the MMX series would allow him to blow Andross away with
ease, which did not happen.
