Census Finder - Census Records Online - A comprehensive directory of free and paid census available online along with helpful census research information and genealogy resources for
the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Scottish Forenames - A comprehensive directory of Scottish Forenames.
This website will tell you where Personal Names, First Names or Given Names
are thought to have originated and what they originally meant. Also recorded
are Variations, Pet Names, Diminutives and Abbreviations that you may
have to consider when searching in genealogical databases and old records.

Talking Scot - A helpful site with historical information. Includes a forum to upload
pictures and records where experts can help decipher the handwriting.

Genuki Gazetteer - The most comprehensive database of Scotland places to help find where
your ancestors lived. Allows many different variations of a search to maximize your efforts.

Genuki-Great Britain - Includes all of Scotland, England and Wales.  Contains many links to help
researchers and a large amount of historical information.

Old Occupations - A comprehensive site defining many occupations you may find in your research.

Register of Ships - Here, you will find the registration details of a vessel such as the rigging, the tonnage, dimensions, propulsion, owners and her Master. These have been transcribed from the Lloyd's Register of British and Foreign Shipping from 1764 up to 2003, by Gilbert Provost with assistance from Pauline Joicey.
