Mikol  Carry <mikolcarry@yahoo.com>: Hello roll,
Beautiful Garden Railway. Love the simplicity, and the fact you are an avid scratchbuilder. Will return from time to time to check up on your railway line.
Happy rails raising steam

Toshi <toshi_sydney51@yahoo.co.jp>: I found your site from Greg Hunter's web site. I have never imagined an English man built a Japanese style railway and read your articles interestedly.
I am building a Japanese style G-gauge garden railway in Sydney and scratch-built a rail car. This is my web site address:

Hane-mugakusai <nja-deus@ayu.ne.jp>: How do you do. I am a railroad fan with the handle name called  Hane-Mugakusai
I was searching "Narrow gauge" and discovered this site.
I am observing the fantastic world which you made.
Although I am a Japanese and railroad scenery of Japan has got it used to seeing most, I admire the sharpness of your observation, and expressional abundance.
For example, suppose that I live in Swansea. However, it could not do skillfully in this way, even if it is going to express the 2 feet railroad of Wales.
The figures which live in this garden railroad regarded me as it being one of the elements with which the heart gets warm. Especially the expression of "a child sitting on the coach" is wonderful.

I hope that I can treat Japanese by this guest book.
I live in Kawagoe, Saitama and am interested in a completely opposite American railroad.
And I made a site of F'Track.
I inform you of URL.

Really enjoyed reading about your life in Japan and your railway made the cheap way! Found your site by pure luck via one of the train rings. Saved your link, will come back, that for sure!

Bob Manning <BOLIZ 106 @aol>: Your web site is interesting, inspiring and just plain fun. I also build my own equipment, not of necessity but because it gives me far more pleasure than opening a box. I plan to check back to this web site from time-to-time for further developments and maybe some avocational espionage! Keep up the good work.

Scott Ziebell <scottandnancy@charter.net>: Hello, wonderful work. Nice way to cope with the lack of ready made materials and adapting to the local theme of things. Scratch building is the best way to go - lots of fun. I'm from the the state of Wisconsin in the US and just started my own garden railway in 2005. It's 45mm gauge and I have both 16mm and 7/8" to the foot models.

Clive Tucker <scgr_info@yahoo.co.uk>: Matthew, an excellent website describing a wonderful little line! I shall be offering a link to your site from mine, if that's OK. I'm trying to put up links to lines in other countries, and to be honest I didn't think I'd ever get one from Japan!

John Burgess <johneburgess@btinternet.com>: Inspirational! Only wish I had the ability to achieve anything close to what you have done.
Have fun and keep the family involved.

Paul Betts <steam@cslr.co.uk>: Hello There,
After your comments about my own railway, I had to visit your site for a look around! I'm very impressed by your railcars and the historical links - I was aware of the larger and faster Japanese services of later times but never considered that the beginnings were much smaller. All in all an interesting website. Keep up the good work!

Cliff Ward <cd_ward@bellsouth.net>: Very interesting and nice website. It truly is a small world, as although I am located in the USA (North Carolina), I work for a Japanese electonics components company whose main development factory is located in Takasaki. Perhaps on a future business trip to Japan I could bring one of my live steam locomotives and give it a try on your garden railroad....looks like it would be great fun! Regards, Cliff

W.E. Dsalohcin <nllrway@hotmail.com>: Your website is interesting and informative. As the (fictitious) CME of the North Lindsey Light Railway (a real 16mm garden railway, based on the 2' narrow gauge), I come from the 'make do and mend' culture imbued by my eastern european parentage and I'm fascinated by all forms of recycling. The infrastructure of the NLLR owes a great deal to other peoples junk and it's good to know that you have an appreciation of these methods and that you're willing and able to make something out of virtually nothing!

Mike <walkinmycat@yahoo.co.uk>: I was especially interested in your site as an ex-railwayman and current TEFL teacher in England (when there's work)! I agree that it's worth taking the trouble to get to know people from other countries. I'll be looking back to see how you're getting on with the garden railway - it looks like great fun.

David Travis <David.travis@btinternet.com>: Intersting stuff- please keep up with the website. A bit more about life in Japan would make good reading too
