 Review for BUZZ:

BUZZ, by MJ Daley-Prado, is another wonderfully done children’s story by this author.  I continue to be in awe of her abilities to capture a child’s mind in her continued efforts as a children’s author.

BUZZ is an inspirational story teaching the age old moral of “don’t judge a book by its cover” so to speak as in this case it is a very friendly dragonfly not to be judged by his appearance.  BUZZ is a lovely story to be read to help teach morals.  The moral of this story never changes and is a valuable lesson to learn for tots and toddlers the same.  Its value as a lesson is rich beyond words.

Review for Baby Duck Gets a New Grandma
AUTHOR: MJ Daley-Prado

This story begins with Baby Duck missing her grandmother who has passed away. Her grandfather calls her to tell her he has some big important news for her. However, it isn’t good news as she learns that her grandfather is going to get married to someone else. This upsets her greatly as she doesn’t want a new grandmother. So she decides to run away from home. Along her way, she meets Wilbur the Old Bullfrog and tells him of how she feels about this. He tells her that she needs to give this new grandmother a chance, maybe she might like her. As it turns out, her grandfather is going to marry Miss Donna, a family friend. At first, she isn’t sure if Miss Donna can be her grandmother so Miss Donna allows her to still call her Miss Donna. They soon learn to get along and 2 years later, Baby Duck enjoys going to see them. In the end, she finally calls Miss Donna ‘Grandma Donna’ and decides that she is a very lucky duck after all.

This book definitely has a positive message though the pace is a little fast. It is definitely something children can relate to, especially those who have lost people they love and have to get used to new people. There is a little bit of tightening needed grammar but all in all, it is a good book that has a good lesson within itself. Good job in general, just needs a little more polish.

This is the real life "Grandma Donna and Baby Duck". I got the idea for Baby Duck Gets a New Grandma from them. My daughter had a difficult time at first accepting her new Grandma but it wasn't because she didn't like her new Grandma it was just because she was angry at accepting someone new into her life. I wrote this book in hopes of possibly helping other children realize they too can love someone new,as well as remember the love they had and that there is always enough love to go around.

It's true that time and love heals all wounds. Now my daughter old enough to understand and she is very happy. She has the relationship she has always wanted and her new Grandma loves her very much too....just like the story says!

Every child should be soo lucky!!

Yes...Grandparents are definitely a blessing!
