The John Brother MacDonald Stadium
home of the Weeks Crushers

Address: 530 Washington Street
Built: 1951
Capacity: Seats 2166, total capacity of around 3000
Seats: Bench Seats, and are on 3 sides of the arena.
Ice Surface Size: 85'-195'
Directions: Take exit 25 from the Trans Canada Highway and turn at the off-ramp lights on to East River Road toward New Glasgow. Drive through the commercial district, pass the mall and turn left on to Washington Street at the 6th set of lights (or 5th if you came off the highway from Antigonish). The Stadium is on your left at the end of the street.

There are no lights at MacGregor Street and East River Road is four lanes so it can be tough to turn there. MacGregor Street is a better escape route after the game if you're heading back to the highway.

Ticket Prices:
Adults - $8
Students & Seniors - $6
Under 9 years- Free

Other Info:  For Crushers games, middle sections are reserved for season ticket holders. Visiting fans sit behind the visiting team's bench. The benches are on opposite sides of the ice. There is seating on three sides in an old fashioned box formation. No backs on the seats unless you lean back on the legs of the person behind you. The end zone is called the Gravel Pit.

It's always wise to wear extra layers of clothing to the rink as it can be very cold in there.
