Here is a fix for those still getting error when they try to use CUO Desktop it was sent to me by Lord Greywolf of Age of Avatars please remember to follow these instructions verbatum
(exactly) here is how to do what they say:
Open CUO - you get crash report showing
above in the "menu" click on Tools then options
then click on the "Browser Tab"
there is a drop down box marked "Template" - probably says "release" in it
or maybe "blue black" - click on the down arrow next to it and change it to
default
then click on "ok" below
then hit teh F5 button and it should come up
Might look funky, but it works if you need to download CUO Desktop please go to the patch page on this site for the download link. If you use UO_gateway you can get that on the same page just click it's link.
now here is how to add a Local Area Connection so you can reach us. do the following
1) open CUO now it's fixed , click on files, click "add a Local host", you will see a gump come up.
2, in this gump is where we will setup your local add our name. b, add discription (optional). c, add the patch link http://www.freewebs.com/mistydain/UnicornHeven.txt (add this line exactly) d, add the update link same link as above. e, add the ip and :port IP= 97.102.156.64 Port = 2594. no period at the end of the port #. f, VERY IMPORTANT SAVE, G, close the gump go to favorites and connect normally. that is it you should be able to now connect to us and patch normally. Razor ppl you too can log in to Unicorn Heaven by using ip and port as long as you manually patch from http://wwwfreewebs.com/mistydain/patch.rar follow all the other instructions as they pertain to IP and Port save your information and log in.
Please Do not upgrade past 6.0.1.6 if you do you will no longer be able to connect to us via connect UO as EA changed how packet handlers were used. The folks at connect UO assure us they ware working on the problems associated with this and will let us know on the connectUO site when it's fixed, let us hope they fix it in our lifetime, untill this occurrs try to stay below 6.0.1.6 thank you.
