Seto Kaiba was considered the world's best duelist until Yugi Moto beat him in a duel. After his loss to Yugi he went wandering to find out who he really was. He went to Duelist Kingdom to reclaim his title and save his younger brother, Mokuba. Pegasus forced him to duel Yugi and Kaiba barely won by using a cheap trick. Kaiba then dueled Pegasus for his brother's sake but he lost very badly and his mind was sent to the Shadow Realm while his body became "Pegasus's obedient servant. Yugi saved him later on by beating Pegasus in a duel. Kaiba went back to Domino Town where he worked on his new virtual game. He got trapped inside his own game by the other leaders of Kaiba Corp. Yugi helped him escaped by fusing his Black Luster Soldier with Kaiba's Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon to create the Supreme Dragon Master Knight. This great monster destroyed the Mythic Dragon. Later on Kaiba met Ishizu. Ishizu told him about the past and the Egyptian God Cards. She told him that he should hold a tournament. and she gave him Obelisk the Tormentor, one of the Egyptian God Cards. Kaiba's goal is tol get all the Egyptian God Cards. He saw Yugi duel Strings and has been challenging Yugi to a duel ever since because Yugi claimed Slifer the Sky Dragon. He and Yugi beat the Gurus Duo together. He was forced to duel Umbra and Lumis with Yugi after Mokuba was kidnapped. With Yugi's help he was able to summon Obelisk and win. After that Mokuba came to him and led him to where Marik was hiding Joey and Tea. Yugi told Kaiba all about Yami and the Millenium Items, but Kaiba didn't beieive any of this. When Yugi started dueling a Marik controlled Joey, Kaiba tried to stop the duel, but failed, because Marik threatened to kill Tea if he interfered. Kaiba later saved Tea. During the Battle City Finals, Kaiba duelled Ishizu. She had foretold that he would lose, but he changed the future and won. As the blimp neared Alcatraz Tower, the place of the finals, it was taken over by a boy named Noa. Seto entered the Virtual World with Mokuba, Yugi, Tea, Tristin, Joey, Duke, and Serenity. Noa replayed Seto's past for him. Mokuba was then kidnapped by one of the Big Five. Seto duelled and beat Jinzo. Seto later duelled Noa, but he sacraficed himself for his brother. Yugi took over for him and won the duel. Seto then duelled Gozaburo Kaiba and won. Seto then escaped from the virtual world. The blimp reached Alcatraz Tower, where Seto duelled Yugi. Seto lost, so he had to give up Obelisk. Seto then duelled Joey and won. Before Yugi started duelling Yami Marik, Seto gave him Devil's Sanctiary. After Yugi beat Yami Marik, Seto headed to America with Mokuba so he could follow his dreams. He was later targeted by Amelda, one of the members of the Doom Orginization.
