The Original Conjuring Cat:
A Tribute to Timothy Scott
From the time I was hooked on CATS, I'd always been on a one track mind to find out absolutely thing I possibly could about CATS. My research lead me to discover the original broadway Mistoffelees: Timothy Scott.
He was truely an amazing dancer and in my opinion is often over looked.
So, to Timothy Scott, this is for you.
In loving memory, now and forever

"Timothy Scott (Mistoffelees) has been on Broadway and toured with Dancin', A Chorus Line and King of Hearts. He was a special guest with Shields and Yarnell and was featured in the film Annie and on numerous TV specials. As Mr. Mistoffelees he wants to inspire everyone to live their most magical dream."
-CATS Playbill

Originally, the character Mistoffelees sang "Mungojerrie And Rumpleteazer" to Bustopher Jones as a skit he was putting on.
In the first preview performance, he did not wear his lighted jacket...He didn't like his Mistoffelees costume.

At the end of the first full run through of the Jellicle Ball, he collapsed on stage!
Timothy and Cynthia Onrubia originally had a solo dance part in the tap dance of "The Gumbie Cat"
Timothy was born on September 15 1955. He died on Febuary 21, 1988 in Los Angeles. He was only 33 years old.
(Please note: I've collected these pictures from other sites over the year(s). And in the process, I've lost where I've gotten them from. If you see a picture that is yours, PLEASE e-mail me so I may give you credit.)

From Newsweek, 1982 written by Jack Kroll:
Timothy Scott is a veteran at 27; he's been in "Dancin"' in Los Angeles, "A Chorus Line" on Broadway and in London, in the movie "Annie" and in countless TV commercials. "I knew when I was five years old I wanted to be a dancer," he says, "but I never took dancing lessons until I was in high school for fear of what people would think. "Cats" is the hardest and happiest work he's ever done. "It's fun playing an animal," he says. "When you put the makeup on you feel you can be as wild as you want to be."

A Cat Named Timothy , a fic for Timothy Scott. Writen by Me!!
A little story about Mr. Scott. It is based losely off of a Christmas Carol, although that wasn't my intention.

A reflection from Misteazer:
Timothy Scott was a wonderful and amazing dancer and performer.
At first, I didn't know who he was, but as I dug deeper into my love for the show CATS and the character Mistoffelees, I discovered exactly what an amazing person he truely was.
Now, because of him, I'm going to to out there and live MY most magical dream.
His inspiration helps me to keep my dream alive and help me reach out to it. He keeps me going and working harder to achieve it.
To you Timothy, without your inspiration to me, to fans, to anyone else who comes along and plays the role of Mistoffelees, we wouldn't be much of anything. You're the base of a beloved character and you're the soul of a beloved and idolized person.
You will live on now and forever in the hearts, minds and souls of thousands of fans, actors, and people, who will never forget you.
