The Miss Rodeo Old Fort Days Pageant is held during the annual Old Fort Days PRCA Rodeo, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This rodeo begins each Memorial Day with a parade through the old downtown and one of the largest grand entries in the nation.
Harry Vold Rodeo Company of Pueblo, Colorado and 11 times PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year, brings the bucking stock, plus great bull fighters, the Old Fort Days Dandies, clowns and specialty acts, make the 6 performances exciting each night.
The Miss Rodeo Old Fort Days Pageant begins on Thursday with each contestant checking in and getting their pageant info. Each contestant will be judged over the following 3 days in horsemanship, speech, interviews, modeling and impromptu questions. They will also do radio spots, ride in the grand entry each night and be treated to a luncheon hosted by the Mayor of Fort Smith.
The winner will be announced on Saturday night with prizes awarded to Most Photogenic, Best Speech, Horsemanship winner, First Runner-Up and Miss Congeniality.
The new Miss Rodeo Old Fort Days will travel throughout Arkansas and Oklahoma attending various rodeos and special events. She will sign several thousand autograph sheets and meet numerous rodeo fans and sponsors.
