Writing is something that I have always done. When I was younger, I would write stories about princesses and ballerinas, keep journals and diaries that cataloged my feelings and thoughts on the days that passed by, and wrote songs. 
Now, being faced with the realization of actually pursuing writing as a career, I have researched the ins and outs of the writing world. I started out looking for which niche would be best for me to nestle into; would I be a graphic novelist or perhaps an editor for a newspaper? Throughout my research process, however, my question soon morphed into something a bit unexpected: Is becoming a writer worth the work? Of course the answer would lie within myself because I am the one that decides how much work is worth the glory, or lack there of. If you are torn between a question such as this, I have compiled my findings and you can be the judge; is becoming a writer worth it?
