ABOUT THE FILM
Human Rights in Quisqueya is a digital tapestry of divergent viewpoints raging from elite to civil society sectors regarding the Haitian presence in the Dominican Republic. It is a product of our constant monitoring of media coverage of the plight of Haitians in the Dominican Republic including balance, scope and accuracy.
The main thrust of the documentary is that the treatment of Haitian migration to the Dominican Republic is overly politicized. Determination of nationality should comply with international laws governing the movement of individuals and families from one state to a sovereign nation. The documentary is a co-production of NYIHA MEDIA and Perfil Latino.
