Performers may include acts or songs which may be viewed in the 21st Century as politically incorrect. We do not intend any offense to anyone, but an adherence to recreating 19th century music in a historic light.

Dwain Bond- Military and old-time frontier music

For the past ten years, Dwain Bond has been an active participant as a musician at historic forts, Civil War reenactments and living history events located in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. He often heads up a Confederate fife & drum field music group playing fife as well as bugle, cornet, and snare drum. Additionally, he presents the music of the frontier town of the 1880s..delivered on a vintage upright saloon piano which he has engineered to transport easily, thus bringing the authentic old time “honky tonk” sound to events. He specializes in playing in historically accurate southern plantation style...from Stephen Foster songs of the 1850s, to the Civil War and rowdy saloon songs of the 1880s and up through turn of the century ragtime of Joplin and Joseph Lamb with a focus on the history of these songs and the progression to what is termed ..modern music. Mr. Bond performs saloon piano for the Smithsonian affiliate, Hubbard Museum of the West; The Last Escape of Billy the Kid Pageant in Lincoln,NM; Victorian Christmas Festival, Austin: and numerous 19th century living history events. He has several CDs published featuring fife & drum as well as frontier saloon songs played on an original 1879 Adam Shaaf piano. Mr. Bond is a life time member of the Association of Retired Military Musicians.
