Carrying The Torch Ministries

          Mercy Home was Started In Novemer 2003.   It is in Nagercoil, India.   It was birthed in the Spirit through Pastor Jim Angle, Pastor Brad Atkins and Pastor Samuel Raj.  Pastor Brad named the orphange. 

          Mercy Home was started with little Benita.   She was nine years old at the time.   Her mother was killed and her father disowned her.   Benira's grandparents tried to take her in.   Benita was severly depressed, would not eat or smile.   She had no hope.   Benita's grandparentswere on starvation and could not keep little Benita.   She was on her own.   This how Mercy Home was Started.   Mercy Home now consists of 48 children and 8 staff members.   The 2 Pastors and their wives evanglize the 22 villages that are located around Mercy Home.   At night many children from the surrounding villages come to the orphange to be minister to.  It is like a light of the gospel illuminating the villages through the preaching of God's word.   On March 4th. a special dedication services was held at Mercy Home.   Eighty-six Hindus received Jesus as their Saviour.   This led to the start of a new church at the orphanage.
