In October of 2007, a teacher from Orting, Washington, went to Austin, Texas, to learn how to start-up her own miniature horse equine assisted activities therapy non-profit organization. After 4 intensive days of training beginning with a Mini Manners 101 workshop (all to know about working with miniature horses in the settings we will work in) followed by actual visits to life-skills classes, a nursing home and a fundraiser / information sharing activity, bookwork and preparing for Incorporation/ 501c3 papers, the teacher came home to Orting, excited and ready to bring to Orting, King and Pierce Counties - this unique and exciting equine experience of sharing the love and spirit of miniature horses to those who need
special, tender care.
Our organization was specially created by a group
of friends who want to share this exciting equine experience with you. The minis will come to your facility: assisted
living/nursing homes, children's shelters, special needs classrooms,
scout programs, community events, schools and church functions.
Everyone young and old will enjoy a visit with our small, but mighty,
equines. You will see big smiles during a visit with a small horse.
We wish to educate
people about the unique ability of the miniature horse to soothe the
soul. The human-to- horse bond also warms the soul and opens the
heart. We bring a little bit of love to everyone.
