Hello everyone and welcome to the mini horse kids club. I came up with this idea , only a few months ago , to encourage the youth of miniature horse studs and family to have fun and to enjoy themselves with this site and to encouarge them to feel important to. I remember as a child , in newsletters , they didn't really cater for children , i thought we as kids were apart of our familys miniature horse stud , but there was nothing for us.

 

Im now an adult and i see nothing has much changed , alot of parents and guardians forget that todays youths are tomorrows future!!!!!. WE should encourage them to go for their dreams and goals , and to achieve there best in the horsey world. That's why i decided to create this website , so that the children have something for themselves and to learn more when it comes to horses.

In approximately 1998 to 1999 , i was the editior of the youth zone section in the Australian Miniature Horse Assoc Newsletter , until the association was moved around to much , it bacame less of a newsletter and no one wanted me to continue the youth zone , they took it out of my hands.

I tried to cover as much ground as i could possible , if anyone has any suggestions , on what else i should add , please let me know , so that way we can make a better website and children get more out of this site as possible. We have decided to keep this site , just for children and miniature horses , shetlands , miniature ponies , and NO OTHER BREEDS.

There are many websites with horses and riding , but i thought a miniature horse club for kids was a fantastic idea and i hope parents support this site and let other family members know that this site is one of the best. 

My sister is only 11 yrs old and she now has her own stud name and one mare and one filly. We did not force her or tell her she had to have her own stud , she simply asked us if she could have her own stud , and i feel their's no harm in it what so ever. It gives her a feeling of importence and responsibilty , It makes her feel good about herself .

I myself started my own stud at the age of 16 yrs old , and now being 22 yrs old , I've got two stallions , four mares , two geldings ,  and a filly. My mother encouraged me in the show ring as a child and all i see for my bright future is miniature horses.
