Welcome to APDoxies!  We are a small town breeder of high quality AKC & APRI registered Miniature Dachshunds located in Southern Illinois.  My husband & I, along with our 2 children, live on a beautiful farm that runs right to the edge of the Shawnee Forest.  In addition to our sweet Doxies, we have a German Shepherd/Lab mix, a horse, cats, a hermit crab, frogs, mice & fish!  We have always been a family that loves animals, and we strive hard to show each animal that they are special. 

Here at APDoxies, we breed for quality not quantity!  We do our best to make sure each breeding is done to produce exceptional puppies.  Not only in confirmation, color & pattern, but in personality & sturdiness too!

Our Dachshunds are not 'kennel' dogs.  They sleep, eat, & live with us in our home.  We currently have three breeding females & one male; therefore, we have a limited number of litters per year.  This allows us to give the puppies & new mother the attention they deserve.

Each puppy is handled on a daily basis & socialized with cats, dogs, kids & people outside of the home.  We have the puppies checked & shots/worming administered by a reputable vet.  Our babies are seen by the wonderful people at Cape Small Animal Clinic in Cape Girardeau, MO.

All puppies come with their shots & worming current, shot & worming record from vet, APRI or AKC papers & a puppy gift package.  The puppy gift package includes:  enough food to feed your puppy for about a week (so you can switch foods if you choose), treats/chews, a toy,  a snugglie that smells like mother & litter mates (to make transition easier), information on the Dachshund breed & information on house training your new puppy.  We stand behind our puppies health* , please let us know how he/she is doing!

We do offer partial delivery and can bring the puppy to your doorstep for the cost of our gas.  Just to let you know, we are willing to travel...we have a puppy all the way in Grand Rapids, MI!!!  Please...email/call me ~ even if you think you are too far...we'll try our hardest to work it out!

A discount is offered for purchasing more than one puppy and repeat buyers.

You are more than welcome to come see for yourself what conditions our dogs & puppies are kept in.  We do welcome visitors anytime, just let us know when you plan to stop by so we can be sure to be home (my husband & I both work outside of the home).

*Owner is encouraged to have puppy/dog checked by a licensed vet.  We are NOT responsible for any parasites that the puppy/dog may have.  ALL of our puppies/dogs are given wormer perscribed by our vet before leaving our home, but we can not (because of potential legal problems) guarantee 100% that they are free of worms/fleas.*
