Doulas do not replace your partner, or other support person! We are more like a tour guide while you are in labor. You and your partner decide where you will want to go on vacation. You and your partner decide what activities you want to participate in on your vacation. We simply point out different sites (because we are “out of the box”) that you might enjoy and had never thought of before because we know the territory a little better based on our training and experience.
If you do not have a partner or other support person we will readily be your primary support. We are experienced in single mothers, same-sex relationships, and adoptive parental roles. Doulas are the most proficient in providing the support that you need when you need it the most!
