  TAKING CLUB BASS FISHING IN WNY TO ANOTHER LEVEL

As the name implies “Millennium” all began in the year 2000 AD. A group of 6 individuals from various WNY clubs originally formed the Millennium Bassmasters to fish the NYS 6 man team event, but little did we know that we would expand and do some great things for bass fishing in WNY, as well as helping children in our community.

Our club has a current membership of just 12 individuals, small by many club standards, but what a dedicated 12 we currently have! In our first year we organized four WNY open bass tournaments to include the extremely popular Lake Erie Bass Fishing Challenge to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of WNY®. In the last 6 years we have raised over $40,000.00 for this wonderful organization! Our tournaments have also grown in popularity and are known for being professionally run and very well organized.  Anglers from all across the country now attend this extremely popular event.

This year (2007) we are taking WNY bass fishing to another level. With the popularity of BASS fishing growing each year in NYS we will be running SIX open tournaments, with an angler of the year award and banquet.  All of our tournaments we provide all participating anglers with food after the tournament (except May 13^th),

 (WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE NEW INDIVIDUALS TO EXPERIENCE TOURNAMENT FISHING). All of our tournaments are within a one hour drive of Buffalo, NY, and five within 15 minutes of the Buffalo suburbs.

For anyone who would like to become a member of our organization; our meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at Page’s Bar and Grill on Transit Rd, between French and Clinton Sts.  But a word of warning! If you’re not willing to put forth some effort and help with our events, I suggest you go to another club. Our club membership dues are $2.00 per year. We run open tournaments in the spring, casting kid’s events and fundraisers as well as having booths at various Sportsman’s shows, such as the Hamburg sports show at the Ag Center this spring.
