Why You Are Here

America reached its highest active duty roster of military personnel during World War II with a total of 16 Million servicemen and women.  "The Greatest Generation," as it has been called, succeeded in overcoming incredible obstacles to defeat the Axis powers only through much sacrifice abroad and at home.  About a million American soldiers and personnel were either killed or wounded, while those left at home had to bear the brunt of responsibility for those on the battlefields around the globe.

Not that that is the only generation that bore great responsibility.  Almost every generation here in America has been a part of some conflict.  In fact, there are over 24 million wartime veterans alive today dating back to the Mexican Border conflict through WWI, WWII, Korean War, Viet Nam, and Gulf War with veterans of the Viet Nam era accounting for 30%.  The statistic, though, that can't be measured is the pride that most veterans hold, to have served their country.

And with the internet as a tool in this modern society, veterans are reconnecting as never before:  sharing stories, finding long-lost friends, using online resources, and holding reunions.  At this website, you will find all of this and more.  And while you're here, see some of your brothers- and sisters-in-arms, from past and present, in the great photographs on each page.
