Hello, all! I am, as you may or may not know, your lovely site-goddess - that's a site-hostess with an inflated ego ^.~ - and I bring artsiness!
This is me. My name is Kate, but I go by "Akatari" online. You have found my doll site! Congratulations. When I am not dolling I am a high-school student, a writer, a dreamer, and a friend. When I am dolling, I'm...somewhat easily exasperated.
I do not doll for a living, but that does not mean that I do it so other people can take my dolls and say that they made them, or ignore the role of the creator in dolls altogether. They do not appear on the screen by magic. It takes
work to doll. I am a naturally lazy person and dislike work enough without having the time I spend canceled out by someone too lazy to do their own creation. It's very simple. Do not take bits from my dolls: this is called "frankendolling", and it is very smiliar to cutting up someone's offspring for a science experiment, except, you know, somewhat less awful. Credit me if you adopt something - and check to make sure it's adoptable, first! If I ever get around to making bases (which I doubt, as it requires more skill than I have, unless I scan things in), credit me whenever you use them, too. It doesn't have to be bold and splashy linkage that will mess up the whole look of the thing - I credit the bases I use by linking the doll to the creator's site. Go ahead; click any of my dolls. Simple Rules:
~ Do not take my dolls and claim them as your own
~ Do not take pieces of my dolls and use them to make your own
~ Do not take my dolls if I do not say the doll is "adoptable"
~ Do not take any of my bases and use them without crediting me
I would also prefer people not hotlink if they adopt something, but, since I'm hosting my images on
a free image-hosting service, my only real complaint against it would be that it will make you form bad habits and annoy people who
do pay for every pageview of their images. Get your own account at some image-place - I've helpfully linked you to mine - and things will be easier for everyone.
