 Welcome to the informational site for the work of Maine songwriter/composer Mike Nobel. The music track featured above is the "Theme Melody" from Mike's award-winning "COLOR ME GREEN" CD, featuring thirteen full-length songs: from the rockin' "Earth, Earth, Baby", to the hilarious "A Party in the Marsh", to the beautiful and moving, "I Dreamed" and "One By One".

Mike's "COLOR ME GREEN" songs have been featured in thousands of elementary schools nationwide, and have been featured by Scholastic Book Clubs (please see below).  The songs have proven ideal as dynamic, fun-to-perform, and inspirational songs for K-4 student musical  and theatrical performances centered on environmental awareness themes.

Mike's "COLOR ME GREEN" songs address a variety of contemporary environmental education themes, in a uniquely entertaining and engaging manner. Feedback from teachers nationwide (grades K-4) has been consistently enthusiastic, and they report their students love to perform the songs in school and community concerts.

The songs on Mike's award-winning Color Me Green CD address a medley of key environmental themes. The songs are written and recorded in a rainbow of popular musical styles that kids love to learn and to perform. Through comedy, reflection, high energy, and pure fun, these songs give voice to young people's concerns about the health of our natural environment, and offer a sense of empowerment: that each of us, young and old, can play a positive role in ensuring a safer, cleaner future for everyone.
