Michael began his career as a singer-songwriter with record deals with Phonogram and then as a solo artist with EMI and Warner Brothers. A near fatal car crash in August 1991 was the catalyst for a new career.
Michael studied for three years at The Lee Strasberg Institute.
Theatre work includes a midsummer nights dream, flip, and the title role in MacBeth at the lyric theatre Hammersmith. He made his west end debut playing the narrator in Blood Brothers at the Phoenix Theatre.
He played series regular D.s. Trevor Hands in ITV’S flagship series M.I.T and will begin filming the second series later this year.
Extensive television work includes leading roles in A Touch of frost, Danielle cable, NCS, Urban Gothic, The Bill, Lock Stock- The series and a pilot Weird City. Also Kavanagh QC, The New Professionals, Thieftakers, Supply and Demand and Madson.
Michaels film work includes Essex Boys, Blood, The Lowdown, Bar and Inferno which was seen at the London film festival.
Tonight’s The Night sees Michael returning to his roots.
