About This Site

Welcome to MightyMax's homepage! My real name is Max Carey, but on the internet I am just "MightyMax" or "Mighty_Max" or any other variation you can think of. Having said that, I am not particularly well known on the internet, a couple of people on the gamefaqs boards might know me, and I play games online. I have also just joined the forums at darkbasic.com . Which should lead easily into why I am making this site. Or not. I am making this site as a showcase for any applications and games I make with the delightful programming language, Dark Basic. This is just a temporary page mind, I can do better!

About Me

Well I suppose I should write a bit about myself here. I am Max Carey, 14, male, UK. There. I am taught at home, (ie I don't go to school) so I have plenty of time to work on my programming. I started programming with QBASIC and I must have been about ten. When I was 12 I started messing about with several c/c++ based languages (names of which I have forgotten) and made a couple of simple games. I then recieved Visual Basic but didn't get too far with it. I finally reached a stage where I wanted to choose a programming language to stick with. I ended up choosing DB over c++ because the latter would consume way too much of my time. So here I am, just learning the ropes of DarkBASIC. I have already created a 3D game, something that would have taken years with c++, and I am learning quickly. There, that's me. Done.
