Midnight Star Stables

Welcome to Midnight Star Stables, home of quality miniature horses. We are located in beautiful Ontario, Canada. We are a small, family run stable with approximately 6 miniatures, which continues to grow each year with specifically selected miniatures with the qualities we desire in the show ring and in the breeding shed. 

We have owned miniature horses since 1985. We purchased 2 colts as family pets after many years in the large horse world. However Midnight Star Stables didn't come to be until the addition of another miniature horse in 2005. BKS Early Morning Joy was merely 3 months old when we purchased the fuzzy filly, who was soon to become one of our greatest current show horses. Our addiction to these little horses grew.

Our love of these horses in rooted in showing and promoting them in hopes to better the breed. What started a going to the local county fair and entering our oldest, unregistered miniature in one line class for pure fun has now evolved into a complete passion and dream that has lead us all the way to AMHR Nationals; one of the most prestige and challenging competition ever offered for miniature horses and chasing after Hall Of Fame(HOF) Awards. We show across Ontario and the United States in AMHR sanctioned shows.

To date, we have not yet bred a foal of our own, as we have involved our selves in showing and education of the market. We want foals that are highly competitive in all areas: conformation, colour, temperament, and extremely animated movement.

Even though we are expecting our first born foal in the spring of 2009, we even more excited to see what comes from our 2010 crosses, where we feel that we have crossed the best bloodlines and horse in the industry to create a new and unique type of miniature.

By personal preference, we have decided that we want to specialize in LWO+ Visual Frame Overo miniature horses. All foals born here will have one LWO+ parent. All foals born here will also have one parent with excessive action, able to compete in Park Harness Driving. Both parents will also be registered AMHR at the bare minimal.

As of now, 2008 has come to a close and the excitement of 2009 is nearly here.

We'd like to announce our new goals of 2009 starting with our new advertising appearances. We have started investing in advertising in the AMHR Journal! Look for our ads, which have been designed by Lori Rafter - Thanks Lori.

We also recently purchased a domain (DNS)! Our new website, www.midnightstarstables.com, is currently under construction, however we are very excited about this new technological advance.

We have now offered for sale our jr. gelding Donovan as I am leaving for college in the fall and this boy needs a job!! If you have the time for a very Sweet colt, please e-mail me, I'd love for him to go with a youth.
