Welcome to Stonehill Gerbils! I am a small scale breeder of gerbils located in southeastern Wisconsin. I am a proud member of the American Gerbil Society. I have several goals in mind when it comes to gerbils. These are:
* Breed for HEALTH-only the healthiest gerbils are selected for breeding.
* Breed for TEMPERAMENT-no biting allowed! I breed gerbils that are friendly, curious, and gentle.
* Breed for CONFORMATION and COLOR- I choose gerbils that most closely meet the standards set forth by the American Gerbil Society. I especially look for big robust males, athletic females, long whiskers, and big tufty tails. To view the standards and colors in detail you can visit the AGS at agsgerbils.org. I am focusing on pied and mottled colors and colorpoints at this time.
The last goal of Stonehill Gerbils is to promote the knowledgable and ethical care and husbandry of gerbils. To attain this goal classes and printed information will be available for both my local community and on this website.
