Welcome and thanks for visiting! Cardigans are a true joy and a wonderful dog to experience. I am honored that they let me sleep in the same bed as them each night and allow me to be their constant guardian and caretaker :)

I am a member in good standing of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America and abide by the Code of Ethics. I am a volunteer for Corgi Rescue and a member of the Fargo-Moorhead Kennel Club in Fargo, ND. I also just became a member of the North Star Herding Group Club!

About me

My name is Garrett Ramsay and I live near Perham, MN. I live on the 320 acre farm I grew up on, and its been in my family since 1892. Through out my short life, I have been around several different types of animals, but have settled on a few that I really enjoy. I went to college at North Dakota State University (GO BISON!) and graduated with a degree in Animal Science, option in Business & Production, emphasizing in Genetics and Nutrition. I was on the NDSU Dairy Judging team and a member of their Saddle and Sirloin club.

I have only been in the dog showing hobby since I got Sadie, my first dog, in January of 2005.  In this time I have learned a lot and made many new friends. This is no longer a hobby of mine either, but a passion. My dogs are pets/family first, show dogs second, and if they never finish their titles, I will not be sad as they are my 'kids' and they make me happy. To prove this, both my first female and male have been altered and this is due to the fact that I am trying to put my best foot forward and show the dog showing world that I am here for the dogs and their happiness and safety and that's it. Well I'm here to have fun and have dog showing be relaxing and entertaining too. I LIKE to show!!

Another avenue besides dog showing that I've grown addicted to are the performance events! My oldest two dogs just received their first titles in September 2007 and I have done training with them for Obedience, Rally, Agility and Conformation, as well as their Canine Good Citizen tests. Check back often; we like visitors!!

Being new to the Cardigan world, I know it is very important to put my good foot forward. With that said I must put in writing here that I being a good member in standing with the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America, will live by the Code of Ethics, and will do what I can to the best of my ability to help keep my dogs and the breed as a whole safe and healthy.

Please remember when searching for a dog, to go through members of the CWCCA website, ask questions, visit the potential breeder's home, and find out if they test for hips and eyes. Ask for a contract of some sort, health guarantees, and if possible, see the parents and/or siblings of the dog in 'question'. It is important to purchase your pet or show dog from responisible breeders. You may pay more in the end for them, but it is very much worth the extra money to know you have a sound and healthy dog!

The more and more people that are aware of getting animals from breeders who test and have health guarantees, the better off the breed is as a whole! Its worth it!
