Alternate Reenactments
|
|
|
|
One of the great things about reenacting is that it has the capacity to
allow for other impressions besides the main one. At the moment the
group has 1 outher main impression witha few of the members branchinh

The Gordon Highlanders have a long history and are one of the most
respected of the Scottish Regiments. Origionally founded in 1794.
Origionally members of the regiment were recruited from the countys of
Aberdeen, Elgin and Banff. At first the regiment was numbered 100th
Regiment of Foot. Eventually the titele of the "Gordon Highlanders" was
used along with the number, in 1978 they became the 92nd under which
number they won their first battle honours. Through the first World War
the Gordons participated in many actions including Mons, Hooge, Somme,
Arras, Beaumetz-les-Cambrai.
Currently it is Early war Gordons being portrayed by one or two members
of the group. putting things into war time means that the history hasnt
been written yet and it is 1939-40 and the war has only just begun.
