Detailed Plot:

    Spin City is an American Comedy set in the town hall of New York City. It is orientated around politics and has lots of likeable characters. Michael J Fox is the main character, Deputy Mayor Michael Flaherty, who basicly kisses the mayors butt and likes to be incharge. When Caitlin Moore moves into city hall, Michael is threatened by her, and they are now in competition to gain the mayor's trust.

    The mayor doesn't really do much for New York, he just lays back and lets Mike and Caitlin do the hard work for him. He does seem to be always trying to improve himself in the public's eye though, to gain votes and make people like him. He also uses James Hobert to write his speeches for him. James, been alot shyer and quieter than the others, often is taken advantage of. He is told what to do alot, and is a bit like a little boy, not grown up yet. There is also Janelle, the right-hand woman to the Mayor's right-hand man, she keeps Mike Flaherty on time and on top of his game. She also had a short-lasting relationship with the mayor.

    Also working in city hall is Paul Lassiter, he doesn't really do much except eat and be stupid. He doesn't really deserve the job but he trys to stop himself getting payed anyway, seen as he is so dumb. Carter Heywood and Stuart Bondek share an appartment together and are completely different. Stuart likes the girls ALOT, and enjoys the bedroom activities. Where as Carter is a gay, active polition, not intrested in the slightest with girls. He owns a very suicidal dog by the name of Rags.

    In the earlier episodes Nicki Farber played Michael's girlfriend. She is very cheeky, and is one of the crew that actually does their job. But sometimes she does sneak off to be with Mike, and their minds slip from the job. Stacey Paterno also worked in city hall from 1997, she was a very feisty and a clever secretary, who seemed to be annoyed by Stuart all the time.

    The gang, aswell as having fun on the job, try to actually run New York City. Most of the time they ruin things, but Mike is always there to clear up their messes!
