When Mike was young he was very close with his grandma. It was her that convinced his mother, that Michael leaving school to be an actor was a good idea. Inside his autobiography, Lucky Man, he reveals that it was because of his grandma's faith in him, he became as popular as he is today.
Michael J Fox and Tracy Pollan first met in the early eighties television show, Family Ties. Michael played a character by the name of Alex P Keaton. Tracy starred as Ellen Reed, Alex's girlfriend on the show.
Tracy Pollan & Michael J Fox also starred in the 1988 movie, 'Bright Lights, Big City' together. Tracy played the character of Vicky and Mike playing Jamie Conway.
3 months after the release date of Bright Lights, Big City, the Family Ties acting became the real thing. The two got married in Vermont on the 16th July, 1988. Tracy gave birth to there only son, Samuel Michael on May 30th 1989. Next they had twin daughters, Aquinnah Kathleen and Shuyler Frances on the 15th February, 1995. Aquinnah was born 8 minutes before Shuyler and weighed a stone less. Their youngest daughter, Esme Annabelle was born on November 3rd 2001.
