Art of Peace Center

Only by knowing the art of war, can we avoid it.

The Dream:
"I want to make a place... a sanctuary for people to go to. A secluded sanctuary in the middle of the forest. Imagine a building, not built over the forest, but built IN the forest... made to be one with the forest. In this temple are masters of the various martial arts of the world, and students who are willing to devote not hours, but portions of their life to training; whether it be months or years. These students are not restricted to learning just one art... but to learn any martial art they can.

Unlike in the ancient temples (and modern temples), spouses will be allowed in the center. People will not have to chose between their families and the arts. It will not, however, become a daycare fo children while parents fufill their dreams.

Of course, there will be moral and ethical standards to the students (and masters) of the center. Peace is of course the meaning of all arts... there is a time and place for competition. Profanity (including spousal relations) shall not be allowed within the premises. People are being aloud to live with their spuoses... but that doesnt mean they can do anything in the dorm rooms.

Through the gathering of these... disciples of the ancient traditions, and learning in a supportive community environment, not only is peace a probability... but the journey toward peace becomes inevitable. "
