Sometimes opportunities come to us but we fail to seize them. The Will to Win or to be a Champion has to come from within. It starts NOT every YEAR but EVERYDAY!! There's no point in having someone constantly motivating you to train hard BUT it has to come from you yourself. The desire, the passion, the commitment and the motivation have to all be from within you in order to achieve your individual goal and team goal.
Why don't we all try and be more supportive and positive to each other in whatever we all can. MG POWER!!

It has been a long time wince I have updated the website but I thought I had better put this photo up. Tonight I had a rare opportunity and privilege to have a photo taken with 2 of our Sec 4 beauty queens in Sihua and Lydia at the Founder's Day Dinner. They look stunning and elegant in their evening wear and prove how they can still maintain their femine side even after going thru' tough training at the courts. Knowing how our capt is always so shy about having her photo out, I can't but help her get over it. You both look great!

LESSON TO BE LEARNT FROM THE BUTTERFLY
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day, a small opening appeared; he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then, it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther.
Then the man decided to help the butterfly, so he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly. What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were nature's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If nature allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been.
And we could never fly...

As the saying goes, "If you want to enjoy the rainbow, be prepared to endure the storm." There have been times when I have enjoyed the rainbow but have forgotten about them. What about you? Will you be able to endure the storm so that you can enjoy the rainbow? |
