The Drale Aran Saga: Mission 1: Killer Instinct


Prologue

A raging war is occurring between the Galactic Federation and the newly born opposition known simply as the Space Pirates. The Space Pirates turn their attention to Research and Devolpment lines of space colonies. One by one, these space stations fall out of orbit and then explode.
The Galactic Federation has lost many scientist. They find there final hope lying in the hands of Research and Development station K-2L.
The head scientist, Samuel Aaron, immediatly begins work on the requested super formula for humanoid ability enhancement.
The Space Pirates begin to notice the radioactivity on the colony K-2L, which they had not recognized before.
They immediatly dispatched a team to go and bring down the newly recognized colony.
The head of this team was an odd monster named Ridley, along with his small, fat, strong, and not very bright apprentice, Kraid.
They arrived on the colony and immediatly headed for the labs. On there way there they past a young girl. Ridley, out of cruelty, reached out and clawed the girl. She began to bleed horribly.
The team left Kraid at the docking bay to protect the ship, while they went to the lab and grabbed the formula.
Ridley was Carrying two viles. He handed one to Kraid.
Kraid, as clumsey as he was, dropped the vile on a little boy that was behind him. "You klutz, and you stupid boy." Ridley said. Kraid slashed the boys arm and all of the liquid rushed towards the wound.
"I guess the other five will be enough to revive her. I'm glad that last space station we were at didn't get her off in time." Ridley said shrieking. A young woman rushes into the docking bay with a nine year old girl in her arms, the same girl that Ridley slashed. A guarc stopped her and asked to see some ID. "Are you crazy? This whole space staion is about to blow up and you're checking IDs?" she said. "What's your name miss?" the guard asked. "I'm Stephanie Aaron." she said. "The scientists wife? Go on through." She ran past him and grabbed the two year old boy that Kraid had slashed.
She sat them in the rescue shuttle and said to them "Dralen, Samantha, I'm going to try to get off of this space station, but mommy's got to go find daddy." She kissed them both on the forehead and went back into the collapsing space station.
Samantha dropped her ball and it rolled off of the shuttle and on to the station. She ran to grab it. When she went to get back on the shuttle, the shuttle's doors sealed and it took off. Samantha sat down and cried.
A bird looking alien known as the Chozo jumped from a lower shuttle dressed in an orange and red suit.
The strange alien grabbed her and leaped off the staion and flipped until he landed of a small gunship that looked similar to his suit. He sat her in the corner of his shuttle and took off his suit.
He then cut himself in the arm and poured his blood into the little girls wounds, since she had lost too much blood. He then stitched up her wounds and then they flew off to the peaceful planet of Tallon IV where he would raise her for awhile.
The rescue shuttle her brother was on flew off to Earth. Young Dralen's grandparents's on his father's side would raise him.

 Chapter One


Ten years after the K-2L incident, the young boy, Dralen, was on Earth living with his grandparents. It was a normal fall day, Drale went to school. After school, Drale ran into a bully from his school. "Hey Aaron." the boy yelled. "What do you want Trey?" Drale replied. "You seem to be in my way." Trey said. "Well then make somewhere else your way." Drale said. "That's it Aaron, come on, hit me." "I'm not going to hit you Trey." Trey threw a punch and hit Drale in the jaw. Drale was barely hurt, but he punched Trey right back. Trey flew into a wall and then Drale went up to him and quickly began punching they guy in the gut. They were both called to the principals office. A teacher saw the entire fight and told the principal about the odd strength of Drale. That afternoon, after Drale got home, there was a knock on the door. His grandmother opened the door and saw two soldiers. One of them asked to see Dralen Aaron. His grandmother yelled for him. Drale came to the door and the soldiers said that they would have to take him away. "You're grandson is abnormally strong, we're going to have to take him away and run some test on him." The other soldier said to his grandmother. They took him away without letting him or his grandparents speak. Drale's grandfather wasn't one to argue, so he allowed Drale to be taken away. After they ran tests on Drale, they sent him to the Galactic Federation. They trained him for four years. When he turned sixteen, the Space Pirate threat returned to the galaxy. Dralen wa too young to send to battle the pirates, so the Galactic Federation hired the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, Samus Aran. Two years later, Samus had destroyed the Space Pirate threat on Zebes and the X-virus on SR-388. But the Space Pirate threat has returned and now the eighteen year old Drale was called to battle...  "Commander Aaron." Drale heard someone call from across the hall just as he was going to the docking bay to see his new ship. "Yes sir?" Drale responded, at attention. "Come here." the man commanded. "Yes sir, Admiral Hyron." Drale ran to the room that Hyron was in. "What is it sir?" he asked. "Commander Aaron, you are going to be working as a double agent. You are going to work for the Space Pirates, so that you can spy on them and give us any information that you consider useful." "With all due respect sir, why me? Can't you get someone else? Like a trained spy?" "Because, the pirates want someone strong that can take us and Aran on. Not some average bio-form. I would also like to show you this." Hyron said as he walked towards what looked like a big metal casket. He pushed the lid off and revealed a big metal suit. "Armor sir?" Drale said as if he was disappointed. "Not just any armor Commander, this armor is a replica of the bounty hunter Samus Aran's armor which is an authentic Chozo crafted suit of armor. This suit is top-of-the-line and state-of-the-art. You can't get it any better than this, with the exception of power-ups that we have not aquired." "Alright, I'll wear it." The suit was completely black, except the visor and the shoulders and the chest were red. "Sir, if you will excuse me, I would like to see my ship." Drale said. He went to the docking bay and saw a gunship that looked exactly like Samus Aran's, except it was red in the front and black in the back. "Is this my ship?" Drale asked. "Sure is." the shuttle attendee said. Hyron had followed Drale into the docking bay. "Are you people trying to turn me into Samus Aran here?" Drale asked Hyron. "If you have the same equipment as her, the pirates will most likely think that you can defeat her." Hyron said. "Ten to one they shoot at me." Drale replied. "Deal with it Commander Aaron. I will see you in three months commander and expect to here from you tomorrow and I want weekly reports and I want to here from you daily. Is that understood?" "Yes sir." Drale said as he got into his gunship and flew away.

 Chapter Two

Drale came to the lonely remains of the planet once known as SR-388. As he approached the ruined pile of rubble floating in space, he saw a purple and blue shuttle that looked as if it had legs for landing. He launched a tracker missle that would latch to the ship so that he could follow it later. When he landed in the ruined docking bay he got out and searched the place. He maid his way to the power silo. As he suspected, it was ruined. He went to turn on the auxiliary power. After he turned it on he went to the remains of a navigation room, which had his computer M.I.S.C. (Mecha Inteligence Super Computer) uplaoded into it. "Th__
__s ___ign o__ X__rus _n pl___et." Misc tried to say. "You're cutting out Misc, get to the point." Drale said. "S___X ________ com___g!" Misc attempted. "Repeat that Misc." "SA-X ____ coming!" "That piece of crap is still alive?!" "Only one. Destroy it and go!" The ruined door to Drale's right exploded. "What the...?" The las SA-X came through the rubble. The SA-X fired three powerful blasts at Drale. He dodged the shots. The shot blew up the door to his left. Drale backflipped out of the navigation room into the room with the ruined power silo. The SA-X followed him. Drale kneeled, took aim and fired a missle. The weakend SA-X fell into pieces. X ameba surrounded Drale. "What is it." Drale asked Misc. "It's the X-virus. Don't touch it! You will become infected!" He shot at it, but nothing happend. "Not working Misc." "Then run." He ran to his ship and flew away. "Maybe I should follow that ship I saw earlier." "Why?" "Because, it was on this planet and it wasn't dead. Drale came to the planet where the ship had landed. "Hey Misc, where are we?" "The planet is called Tallon IV."

 Chapter Three

"Drale, you really should go back to SR-388 before landing here. You didn't complete your objective there." Misc said. "What was the point in that objective? What could the federation possibly want a sample of the X-virus for?" Drale asked. "To infuse it with your suit. Your suit is pretty weak you know." "Whatever, I think one of those thingd got to me anyway. Scan me and make sure I'm alright." "Lie down on the examination table please." Misc told him. Two blue laser beams came across Drale, one started at his head and went to his feet, and the other came from his left side and went to his right. "Scan complete. Do you wish to display results Commander?" "Of course I do or I wouldn't have made you scan me." One of the monitors near the table displayed a diagram of Drales suit. "Misc, display infected areas in red.
Most of the diagram turned red. "Darn it, isn't this stuff deadly?" Drale asked. "Yes, but we were prepared for this. It would have been easier had you captured a sample, but this is all we have currently. Please lie down on the Surgical Table Commander." "Surgical Table? We don't have a Surgical Table. Do we?"
A hatch on the floor opened that contained a table with robotic arms and medical equipment surrounding it. "These robotic arms are guided buy the greatest scientist and medical doctors in the world. They will infuse the X-Virus with your suit." Misc told Drale. "Convenient." Drale replied.
"Please lie down and relax Commander." Misc told him.
Drale got on the table and let the robotic arms got to work. Drale was only on the table for a moment when his ships alarm came on. "We are under enemy attack." Misc said calmly. "What is it?" Drale asked. "Scanning... The beast goes by the name of Ridley, he is the second most tactically addvanced bio-form known at this present time." Misc replied "I'm going out there." "You shouldn't Commander, you need to let the doctors complete the infusion. I can handle this sir." Drale jumped off of the Surgical Table, malfunctioning the robotic arms. Dale placed his arm cannon in a downloding slot in the side wall of his ship. It was offline. "Misc, I need the Anti-Gravity booster." "I will not let you upload this until you are completely infused Commander." "Misc, give me this upgrade or I will blast your circuits." The slot came online, Drale attempted to use his Anti-Gravity booster, but he didn't have it. He took aim at the computer and pressed the trigger button. Nothing came out. "Give me my Power Beam Misc." "Sir, I will restore your Power Beam, but I wil not give you the Anti-Gravity booster." "Fine just give me my Power Beam." Drale uploaded his Power Beam and began to go to the cargo hold. "What are you doing?" Misc asked. "I'm goig to fight him my own way, you're not the only one with tricks up your sleeve." Drale opened the cargo hold and jumped into a cruiser that was black at the bottom and had nothing but glass on the top, he was able to lay down in it and stick his arm cannon out the side so that he could fire at the beast. He came out of the cargo hold and began to fire at the beast. After a while, Ridley finally retreated to the surface of Tallon IV. Drale returned to the ship and checked the monitor by the Surgical Table, it read "Infusion Unstable." Drale was ready to finish the infusion, but the robotic arms were malfuntioned and need time to reboot. "Misc, we're going to land anyway. Drale flew into the atmosphere. He was attacked and tried to fly away. He crash landed in an icy area. "Misc, where are we?" "The completely frozen surface of Tallon IV known as Phendrana Drifts."

Chapter Four

Drale stepped out of his ship and onto the icy, unstable ground of Phendrana Drifts. "A planet that Aran didn't destroy during her visit. Odd isn't it.?" Drale murmured. "Did your trainer make the right choce?" Misc asked. "Doesn't seem like it to me." "Well, just keep going Drale. But first, you need to upload the Varia Suit enhacement, because you will be travelling through Magmoor Caverns and your energy is lowerinng as we speak from this cold air. Upload the enhancement, quickly." Drale got back in his shuttle and uploaded the Varia Suit enhancement from the data slot on the ship's wall.
He also uploaded the Anti-Gravity Booster and was about to exit the Gunship when he heard blasts and the ship rocked. He ran to the shuttle's dash baord and tried to activate the gun turret, but the shuttle had been severely damaged. He quickly ran down to the cargo hold and jumped into the enhancement pod that he had used to battle Ridley and opened the cargo hold door. The door opened about half of the away when it malfunctioned and stopped. He used his charge beam and blew the door off. He flew out of the cargo hold and found a legion of Space Pirates. They began firing at Drale until he fired back. After he wiped out a couple of rows of them, they began to flee. The beast, Ridley, flew down and began to speak to Drale. "It's time for you to die Aran." "No! I'm not Samus." "You aren't Aran. Aran is a female. Who are you anyway." "My name is Drale Aaron, I came here looking for the Space Pirate, so that I may join with them." "Come with me." The beast said. "Where are we going?" Drale asked him. "To see her." "Who?" "You will see when we arrive."
"Where are we." Drale asked Ridley. "Tourian III." Ridley told him. "Wasn't that on Zebes?" "The original was, until it was dstroyed by Aran. The second one was as well, but then Aran destroyed Zebes." "Oh. So who is this we're going to see." "The head of the Space Pirates." "But aren't you the head of the Space Pirate." "That was temporary. I am no longer in command now that she has returned." They stepped through a door way and were greeted by an onslaught of bullets from the gun turrets. Ridley punched in a code on the wall near the door. The turrets were deactivated and they proceded through a secret path, moving around the Zebesites. They came into a huge area and they went to the edge of the room. In front of them was a huge glass case with a huge brain in it. "Project Mother Brain!" Drale said in shock. "I thought Aran destroyed this a while back. How have you restored it?" "We have are ways, and once we know you are loyale you will learn them as well." Ridley told him. ~You, boy, you look like Aran. Does your suit have the same capabilities as hers?~ The Mother Brain asked. "Basicly, but it needs some enhancements." ~We will supply you with those enhancements and we will also modify your suit, so that you may destroy Aran.~ The Mother Brain sent Drale away so that she could speak with Ridley. Drale left a small microphone that was able to transmit directly to his suit beside them. ~He could have potential Ridley.~ "Yes with him on our side, we could actually defeatAran." ~You know what to do Ridley, go now.~ "Yes ma'am."

Chapter Five

"Come with me boy." Ridley commanded. "Where are we going?" Drale asked. "To the labs." "You have labs?" "Where else do you think we would have restored project MotherBrain?" "Oh. So why are we going to the labs?" "You will see." "What's with all of this secrecy?" "*Hmph.*" They came into the labs and Ridley immediatly too him to an odd machine. The monster injected a huge need into Drale's forehead. Drale screamed as Ridley forced it in. "What is this thing." Drale asked, in pain. "It is a memory machine. We Drain you're memory and are then able to tell your motives." Drale began to panic, but then the anesthesia began to kick in. He was knocked out for a while. Ridley sat by him and looked at the monitor to determine Drale's memories and motives. After learning of Drale's memory and motives, he reported back to the Mother Brain. "The boy was a double-agent working for the Galactic Federation and came to bring us down from the inside. I also learned that his enhanced capabilities came from the serum that we stole from K-2L. Kraid had spilled it on the boy and it seaped in through his wounds." ~Kraid was used to be such a clutz, that is, until we enhaced him with Phazon. The boy was not able to forget anything, he was injected with the same serum that was injected into me.~ "Well, he sure won't remember anything now. We will be able to manipulate him to make him believe anything we want him to believe." ~Go and see if the process is complete Ridley, and if there is any new important information report back to me at once!~ "Yes ma'am." Ridley said as he bowed and walked away.
The process was complete when Ridley returned and no important new information was found, with the exeption of one thing. Ridley ran back to the Mother Brain and told her more important information than the last. "Ma'am! Something has just been discovered that you want to know about." ~Spit it out Ridley.~ "Dralen Aaron, he has a sister that changed her name." ~Who was she Ridley?~ "Samus Aran." ~Did he know of
this?~ "No ma'am, he was seperated from her when they were young." ~how did you find out then?~ "I did some research on Samus Aran and found that she was rescued by Chozo when she was young and ater chaged her name from Samantha Aaron to Samus Aran." ~Samantha Aaron as well as Dralen Aaron both died on the transport vehicle that your team detroyed when it reached Earth did they not?~ "It seams the Sammantha wandered off of the transport shuttle and Dralen was removed from the craft by his grandparents before the shuttle was destroyed." ~All of the inhabitants of K-2L were supposed to have been annihilated. Your team failed Ridley. Your mistake has caused our greatest problem.~ "That was in the past ma'am, now we have a solution to Aran." ~This had better work Ridley, or you will pay for your failure all those years ago.~ "Yes ma'am!"

 Chapter Six

"Alright Drale, what do you remember?" Ridley asked. "Wha? What is this thing that you hooked me up to?" Drale asked. "It was a brain drain machine." "Oh." "So, what do you remember Drale?" "Nothing, why?" "Good. I'll show you to your room." They went through a bunker where Drale thought he was to stay, but they continued to the ranked quarters they Cadet and Captain and went straight to the Commander's quarters. "This is where you will stay. I will be across the hall if you need me." Ridley told him. Drale walked into the room and saw his suit set up in a glass cabinet. Drale put his helmet and pressed a button on the and started talking: "Admiral, come in Admiral Hyron." "Nice to hear from you boy! How are you doing with the mission?" Hyron asked. "I was umm... delayed." "What happened?" " They tried to erase my memory." "Huh? What do you mean they tried?" "It turns out that I can never forget anything no matter what they do to me, thanks to that serum that was made back on
K-2L." "Interesting. So you remember everything from when you were a kid?" "Yes, every moment." "Odd, but that just came in handy." "I know... Huh?" he heard footsteps "... someone's coming. I'll contact you tomorrow. Commander Dralen Aaron, out." "Drale, it's time to eat. You must be starved, follow me." Rodley came in and told him. They came into a cafeteria and Ridley shoved all of the others in the line down and went to the front. Drale followed him and got a plate of food. "What is this crap?" Drale asked looking down at his plate of squirming slop. "Zoomer larva. It has every vitamin you need." "Yeah, but can they at least kill it, I mean, they don't even have to cook it, I just want it dead." "That would damge and it would loose it's nutrition." "I'd rather be unhealthy with disease than to feel this crap squirm down my throat." "I will see to it that you are prepared a special meal from now on." "Thank you."
"I think I was obvious with Ridley, I wasn't to convincing and I think he's on to me Admiral." Drale said over his radio in his helemet. "Just watch your back Drale, Ridley is violent and dangerous and cunning." Hyron said. "The food here is crap admiral." "Get a special meal prepared." "No, you don't understand. I did have a special meal and that's what the crap was. I have worse words for what they eat." "Is it dead?" "Can you eat it?" "Yes." "Then shut up and get to work." "Yes sir." Ridley came into to Drale's living quarters. "Suit up Aaron, you have a job to do." He told Drale. They headed to the Tallon Overworld and came to the shuttle that Drale had tracked a couple of days ago. "This is Aran's shuttle. She can completely restore herself from here, so she will visit often. Pick a spot and monitor the shuttle. Don't harm her, just capture her and bring her to us. Understood?" Ridley yelled. "Yes." "You show no respect boy." "Shouldn't have to, same rank." "I'll never get used to that." Ridley said under his breathe. Drale went to the cliff over the shuttle. He went n to a door and found a small round area with boots in the middle. He was going to grab them, but his suit was already enhanced with the High Jump ability from the Space Pirate scientists. He got on his chest and monitored the shuttle for hours until finally Samus returned to the shuttle and got in side. He used his new Space Pirate Stun Beam. Her suit was disabled and she wasn't able to move. He brought her to the Mother Brain. ~Ridley, throw Aran in the prison block and prepare the shuttle. We leave for the coliseum in the morning.~

Chapter Seven

That night, Drale went to the prison block to find Samus. He slipped past the guards and went to the cell where Aran was. When he got there the cell was empty. He was going to go to Ridley to find out where she was, but he didn't want him to know that he was down there. Drale wnt back to his room and went to sleep. He was awoken early the next morning by Ridley who told him just suit up and report to the docking bay. Drale got to the docking bay and saw the Mother Brain being loaded into a huge shuttle. "That's are craft." Ridley told him. "Where is Aran going to be?" Drale asked. "In the prisoner shuttle over there." "Where exactly where are we going?" "The coliseum on th other side of the planet." "What... for?" "You are to fight Aran there." "Can't I do that here?" "You have no idea how big of a menace she is to us. We all wish to watch here die." "All of the space pirates are going to be there." "Most, but not all." "Good."
They arrived at the coliseum a couple of hours later. Drale was escorted to a small elevator that went into the old Roman like coliseum. Samus was forced on to her platform. The elevators began to move and Samus and Drale were on the battlefield. All of the pirates yelled for them to begin to fight. Samus fired a missile at Drale but he dodged and fired one back at her. Samus came at him using a Screw Attack but Drale mirrored the move and hit her. Samus fell to the ground and Drale walked up to her and forced his foot down on her. Drale charged his beam and took aim at Samus' head. Drale kicked her helmet off so that he could see her face before he killed her. He saw her faced and didn't know why, but he felt like he knew her. He sat there for a minute and looked up into the croud. He looked at the Mother Brain who had Ridley beside her. Drale turned his attention to Ridley who was yelling "Finish her!" Drale looked at Samus again and then back at Ridley who was still yelling. Drale released his beam at Ridley and the Mother Brain. He blew a hole in the coliseum where they were. The Mother Brain was hooked into her mechanical body and she had retreated. The pirates were attempting to capture Saus and Drale who where shooting the entire place up. Drale and Samus fought off most of te pirates and were keeping themselves alive, but Ridley wasn't dead yet. Ridley captured them and loaded them into the prisoner shuttle.
They were taken back to the pirate's base and into the prison cells. Drale sat in the prison for hours trying to think of a way to get out. He couldn't think of anything. Finally he went to the prison bars and jerked them. The hinges began to break on the door until the cell door broke open. Drale began to walk out, but was stopped by an invisible force field. He couldn't get past so he just went to the corner of his cell and sat down.

Chapter Eight

"Transport the traitor and the hunter to the prison planet immediatley!" Ridley barked at four space pirates. The pirates deactivated the force field and went in and grabbed the two from their seperate cells. They cuffed each of the prisoners wrists to theirs. They began to walk up the stairs when Drale tripped. The pirates started to pick him up, but Drale pulled them both down and strangled them with the cuffs. He grabbed the the keys off of there utility belts. He tried all of the keys, but none of them worked. Ridley obviously had the key with him, so Drale had to use what he had around him. He used the claw of the space pirates to cut the links on his chain. "You think that with all of this technology that they could make that part a little more difficult." Drale went to the desk of the cell keeper and slammed the cuffs against the edge until they broke. When they finally fell off, Drale got his and Samus' arm cannon and went ahead to free Samus. When he got up the stairs, he saw two dead space pirates lying on the ground and looked up and saw Samus. He tossed her her arm cannon and they went to the prison shuttle that they were supposed to have boarded. Drale placed a tracking device on the shuttke and the two ran for their ships. Drale came to his shuttle and found is shuttle being torn apart by space pirates. Drale fired at them. He killed most of them off, but the shuttle, along with Misc, was totaled. It sank into the ice, so Drale quickly ran and caught Samus. She had already taken off, so he jumped up and did a Screw Attack and landed in top of her shuttle. He went in to it. "What are you doing?" Asked him in an angry tone. "My shuttle is gone." Drale told her. "Why is that my problem?" "I have a feeling that you and I aren't against each other." "You tried to kill me." "But I didn't, because I knew that you were working with the federation as well." "Who are you?" "My name is Dralen Aaron and I..." She cut him off before he could finish. "Did you say you name is Dralen Aaron?" "Yes." "You should be dead." "What are you talking about?" "Do you have a sister?" "I did, she died in the K-2L incident over ten years ago." "What was her name?" "Uhh.. Simone I think or was it..." "Samantha." "That's it! Why." "I am Samantha Aaron. I go by the alias of Samus Aran for security reasons." "Well if you are Samus Aran, the I'm Drale Aran. For security reasons." Samus laughed. "What? It sounds better anyway." Drale said. "Whatever."

Chapter Nine


They followed the prison shuttle to a planet not far from Tallon IV. They examined the planet for a minute and noticed that it was in the same exact orbit as a planet that shouldn't have been there. A planet that was destroyed years ago. The planet was called "Zebes." "How is that here. I destroyed it years ago." Samus said. "I know. Maybe this isn't Zebes." Drale said. "Of course it's not. Like I said, I destroyed Zebes years ago." "Maybe we should check it out." "We? There is no we. I work alone." "That doesn't bother me a bit. I'm not much for teaming up either." "I'll take down there, but then you are gone." "So that's how you treat your long lost brother?" "This has nothing to do with you being my brother. I just don't need a sidekick or a partner." "I don't need you eith..." He was cut off by a long beep in his helmet. "Drale?" The voice said. "Yes?" Drale asked. "This is Misc. I'm glad to here that you are still alive. I trust your mission is going well." "It was until now." "Glad to here that I am still running?" "Not really." "Oh well. I have been given orders to monitor you. Also, you have Admiral Hyron wishes to speak with you. Shall I put him through?" "Go ahead. Anything, but hearing you." "Commander Aaron?" Hyron said. "Yes, it's me." "How much have you gathered from the space pirates so far?" "Apparently not enough." "What do you mean commander?" "They have another Zebes." "Maybe they didn't trust you enough to tell you something like that." "Why wouldn't they? They thought that I was brain washed didn't they." "Remember you said that you thought Ridley was on to you?" "Yeah. Why?" "Maybe you had to prove yourself." "They did make me fight Aran." "So, did you defeat her? Is she dead?" "Of course not. Why would I kill her." "Because we need information and we don't need Aran." "What are you talking about." "We have you now and we need information more than we need that heathenistic, disobedient, insubordinate bounty hunter." "So you expect me to kill my on sister?" "Your sister? Aran is your sister?" "Yes. And, by the way, don't be expecting any updates from me." "I don't. And that is also why I have Misc monitoring you." "Not anymore." Drale said as he opened a flap on his helmet, twisted two wires together and began to cut them. "What are you doing?" "I work alone admiral. Commander Dralen Aaron no longer exists. I am bounty hunter Drale Aran." "What are you talking about? You can't do that." "Goodbye admiral." Drale said as he cut the wires that connected Hyron and Misc. "Let's land so that I can investigate this new Zebes." Drale said. "Dralen? Is that you?" Samus' computer, Adam, asked. "Yes. And who are you?" "It's me, Adam." "Your Adam?" "Well, your still alive, which is more than I can say for me. I take it that your training payed off." "Of course. If it wasn't for you, I would be dead right about now." "Wait, you know Adam?" Samus asked Drale. "Of course he does Samus. Remember the trainee of mine that I said acted like you." Adam said. "Yes." "Well, this is him. You would be wise not to split up." "Well I..." "No, you will work with him. Even if he wishes you not to. Understood?" "Not really, but I'll go along for awhile." "Good."

Chapter Ten

"Working together is gonna be a pain." Drale told Samus. "I don't like the idea anymore than you do, I'm only doing this because Adam said it was a good idea." Samus told him. "Let's just do this and get it over with." "Fine, and after this I'll take you back to Earth so that you can get a new ship and do whatever you want." "Let's just go." The ship landed on the Zebesian surface. Drale looked to his right and saw a puddle of blue liquid. "What the heck is that?!" He asked Samus. "That's Phazon!" She told him. "What?" "Phazon is a natrual growth enhancer, such a gibberilin or auxin. Except it works on everything." "I know, but what is it doing here?" "That's what I want to find out." "Let's find the entrance to the caverns, maybe the answer is down there somewhere." They searched the surface in the ship until they found the way in. They entered and found that the caverns were identical to the originals. The were both fully equipped, so they didn't need to power up. They ran straight to the entrance to Tourian. Just as it was originaly, there were two statues and a pit of lava. The looked at both satues and found that they resembled two beasts. Drale recognized one as his former false comrade, Ridley, the other he had never met, but knew by reputation. It was the hostile beats known as Kraid.
After they saw these statues, they quickly ran to Brinstar depths to confront Kraid. They twisted there way through the hot area. They came into a room and saw him, Kraid. They opened fire on hima dn he was immediatly destroyed. "Come on, let's find Ridley." Drale said. "No, Kraid isn't dead." Samus said. "Sure he is, we just... Wait. I've heard of this. That wasn't Kraid. That was a clone. He always does that." "Exactly. This way. They came into a tunnel that had a cracked floor. Samus rolled into her Maru Mari form, also known as Morph Ball. She bombed the floor and droped through. Drale stayed in his up right form and dropped into the hole. They landed in anothe tunnel and were attacked by a beetle. Drale shot it and killed it. It left energy. Samus was fine. but Drale was hurt from the force field on the prison cells. She signaled for him to take it, so he grabbed it and opened a compartment on his suit and inserted the energy. They saw a red bubble door in front of them. Samus shot it and with missiles five times and they went in. This room was different the the on Samus had first fought Kraid in. This one was huge. It needed to be to house this huge beast. Drale fired a missile at him and Kraid looked down a him. The beast fired a huge needle from his gut at Drale. It pierced Drale in his left arm. It broke the armor and his arm began to bleed badly. He forced himself up and climed the platforms. He got to the top and jumped on Kraid's head. It was a really stupi thing to do, since he was severly injured. The beast shook his head. Drale held on and then shot him with the wave beam in the head. The beast shook his head again. Drale held on and then elbowed Kraid in the head. Kraid open his mouth. Drale shoved his arm cannon in Kraid mouth and rapidly fied thirty missile down his throat. Samus shot at Kraid from below. The beasts legs caved from under him and he fell over. Drale jumped on the top platform, but he landed the wrong way and broke his leg. Samus moved out of the way and came away with no injuries. But Drale was severely injured. Samus drug Drale all the way from Kraid's lair, back to the ship. She laid him on the medical table and let Adam tkae over from there. She went back into the caverns to confront Ridley. "Hurry Adam."She said as she left the ship.

Chapter Eleven

Samus went back into the Zebesian tunnels and headed to the part of the tunnels known as Norfair. She found her way to the second elevator at the bottom of Norfair. She went down the elevator and found an empty vertical shaft. She fell down the shaft and landed on a block in the middle. It didn't hurt her do to her suit. She went in the door on her left and headed through the tunnel. She came to a door and went in. She found Ridley sitting down in a chair built into the bricks. He stood up to confront Samus. "So you've come to die have you Aran. I was worried when I heard that you and your brother had escaped, but now I'm glad that I get to finish you off myself." Ridley said. "Whatever Ridley. You have escaped to many times, but I won't let you get away this time!." Samus yelled. Ridley unleahed a breath of fire. Samus dodged and fired missiles at him. Samus knocked out a wall at the back of the room that had a door on it. She ran in there and turned around and fired at Ridley. She ran along the false lava and shot at Ridley. She was running and fell in real lava. She couldn't get out and her energy was draining slowly. Ridley flew over her and grabbed her and drug her out. He threw her against the wall and ripped the armoroff of her neck and kicked her helmet off. He began to sink his claws into her neck. "Finally, I get to be on this side of the pain. I get to watch you die." He said. "Shut up and die you piece of crap." Ridley heard. He turned around and saw Drale standing there aiming at him. "I thought Kraid did away with you boy." "He tried. He failed. The same way that you will." Drale fired a flurry of missiles and charged beam blast at Ridley. idley started to fly off over Drales head, but Drale stopped him by using a Screw Attack on him and finishing him off. "I told you that you would fail."Drale said lookingdown at Ridley's nearly lifeless body. Drale went over to Samus and picked her up. "Looks like it's my turn to drag you." Drale said as he picked her up. He drug her up to to the surface and laid her on the operation table in the ship and went to the pilots chair and sat down. He sat there for hours and just spun around in the chair. "The operation is nearly complete Drale." Adam said. "You didn't take this long with me." "You didn't have a neck injury either. You had an arm injury, and you got up early and popped your on leg back into place. You still need medical help. I can't give that kind of medical attention, and I don't know who can give it to you, since you cut yourself off from the Federation." "You did to." "I can't say that I blame you. They just have a good medical program." "That doesn't even matter, I'll live, for awhile anyway." "Just be careful Drale." "I will."

Chapter Twelve


Drale sat down on the floor under the exit. Samus' surgery was almost over. All he could do was wait. After about fifteen minures had past, Drale heard Adam's voice over the intercom. "The surgery is complete and, I'm proud to say, it was succesful." "Good, how long until she wakes up?" Drale asked. "Around an hour." Drale groaned and then sat back down. A couple of minues later Drale looked up and saw Samus waking up. She put her Metroid infused suit back. "Come on Drale, we should get going." Samus said. "Finally." They left the ship and headed back into the shafts. They came into the room with the statues of Ridley and Kraid. They shot the statues so that they rose up and opened the road to Tourian. Samus roled into Morph Ball form and rolled across the bridge. Drale hesitated for a minute and stayed behind. "What are you waiting for?" Samus asked. "Uhh... that hurts." "What does?" "Morph Ball." "Just come on! Now!" "Okay, I guess I can stand it." "You'll get used to it." Drale rolled into Morph Ball form and went under. They came into the room where the elevator was supposed to be. They came in and saw a huge machine. "What is it?" Drale asked, not really directing the question towards anyone. "Just a minute, I'll ask Adam." Samus pushed a button on the side of her helmet and brougth Adam online. "What is this thing Adam?" Samus asked Adam. "It ooks like an extractor of some sort." "For what?" "I wouldn't know." "Well that's no help," Drale said. "Let me bring Misc back online." "How? You cut the wire?" Samus asked. "I can wire it to bring him back online." Drale told her.
Drale shaved some of the rubber the end of each wire. He twisted the wires together and brought Misc back online. "What is this thing?" Drale asked Misc as he scanned the extractor. "It looks like a pump or a giant vaccuum." Misc told him. "What for?" "It is pumping the natural biohazardous substance known as Phazon." "Why is there Phazon on Zebes?" "Phazon will provide exelarated growth for basically anything. Kraids largeness is a result of a Phazon expiriment. The major cloning programs performed by the Space Pirates use phazon for growth." "You're not making sense." "If you take any piece of something and inject with Phazon it will grow into a replica of what it came from." "They must have done that with a piece of Zebes. They could have taken a piece of rock from Zebes and injected it with Phazon and let a new on grow. But Phazon doesn't wear off, it stays unless it's removed." "Exactly." "Oh, now this makes since. Should we destroy this." "No, let it do its job or else a new Zebes will just come back." Samus said. "Then let's just get this over with."Drale said as he untwisted Misc's wire. They went into the next room and found the elevator and went down. They the found themselves in the mechanical caverns of Tourian.

Chapter Thirteen

They entered Tourian and headed downward into the tunnels. They were confronted by a ton of Metroids. They shot and destroyed most of them. They came into a huge room with a huge door. The door was circular and opened quickly. "What the heck?" Drale said to himself. A huge beast came out. "What is that?" Drale asked Samus. "It's an Omega Metroid. Shoot it in the gut." Samus told him. "Okay." They went after the Omega Metroid usind missiles and Plasma Beams. Drale switched to Stun Beam and fired at the beasts gut. It fell over and was tranqualized. "We should finish it off." Samus said. "Screw that, we're destroying this place anyway. To destroy it would waste time." Drale said. "Good point." They went to the door and tried to open it. It required a key that was on the Omega Metroid. Drale went and took it, but the thing woke up. It knocked the key card from Drale's hand and across the room into a vent. Drale tried to blow the door open, but he couldn't. He ran to the vent and blew it open. He went down and got the key card and ran back to the door. He slid the card through the locking mechanism, but when he tried to blast the door open he had malfunctioned it. They shot at the Omega Metroid until and led it towards the door. When it finally died, Drale used his grapple beam and shot it at the Metroid and then yanked it down so that it fell into the door. The door was busted open and they went through. They found themselves in an identical room. They went to the door and tried to go through. The door behind them then opened. They looked to see what was in it, but nothing came out. Drale walked inside the door and found a huge pit. Drale was drug into the pit but he couldn't see what had done it. He climbed back out of the pit and ran to Samus. "What is it?" Samus asked. Drale was out of breath so he could hardly speak. Finally he got out two words that Samus never wanted to hear again "Metroid Prime." The huge black beast came out of the hole and began to attack Samus and Drale. They doged its charges a couple of times and then it began to fire at them. They used the beams that coincided with what Metroid Prime was firing. They injured the beast severely. It charged again, but this time Drale didn't have enough time to move. Drale was trampled, but still okay. Metroid Prime had ran down into the hole that it had come out of. They followed it and found themselves in a cavern similar to the ones on Tallon IV. They repeated what they had done earlier and it continued to go deeper into the surface. Finally it fell down and Smaus and Drale ran back to Tourian. Metroid Prime's second stage followed them. It released pools of Phazon on to the ground so that it could power-up. Two Metroids were released as well. Drale's suit had been Phazon infused by the Space Pirates, but Samus' wasn't. Drale went after Metroid Prime while Samus dealt with the Metroids and Hunter Metroids. They finally brought Metroid Prime down, but there was no key card. The door was still locked and they couldn't get through. Drale ran down into the caverns and found a card on the carcass of Metroid Prime stage one. He took the card and climed back to Tourian and met up with Samus. They went to the door, but it required a number code. Drale looked at the back of the card and found the code. He put it in and the door opened. They found themselves confronted by gun turrets. They had made it. They were in the Mother Brain's Lair.

Chapter Fourteen


They quickly dodged the bullets from the gun turrets and the razor discs. One oe them kept the razor discs back while the other shot out the Zebesites. They made their way throug all of the Zebesites and found themselve in a huge are identical to the one on Tallon IV. Drale fired at the Mother Brain with his Super Missiles. "This is too easy." He said to Samus. Just then the Mother Brain stood up to reveal her mechanical body. ~You will not get out alive!~ She yelled. She had gun turrets mounted onto the side of the mechanical body. She fired at Drale and Samus for a while, but Samus and Drale dodged every bullet and the fired missiles at her. The Mother Brain relized that she wasn't doing any damage, so she switched to missile and fired upon Samus and Drale. They didged the missiles, but they kept coming. They were Seeker Missiles. Drale and Samus shot at the missiles and then at the Mother Brain. The battle was going nowhere, so Drale jumped on the Mother Brains mechanical bady and climbed to the top. He was on top of the glass encasing her. He slamed his arm cannon into the glass and broke it. He then charged his Super Missile and launched inside the glass case. He did massive damge to the Mother Brain, but not enough. He was flung off and fell bac on the floor. This time Samus went up onto the Mother Brain and did exactly as Drale did while Drale fought off seeker missiles. This time when Samus did it, the Mother Brain was defeated and fell over. A vooice came over the intercom saying, "THree minutes until self detruct.", over and over again. They quicly went through the door behind the Mother Brain and into the vertical shaft. But there was nothing in the shaft. They used their Screw Attack, wall jump, and Grapple Beams to reach the top. They got on the elevator and reached the surface. They ran to the ship, but it was gone. The looked around and saw a space frigate. The ship ahd been loaded on to it. They snock on to the ship as it flew away.

Chapter Fifteen

They searched the frigate and found hundred of expiriments. Most of them had to do with mass cloning programs for Ridley, Kraid, Metroids and the Mother Brain. Drale scanned some of the expiriments and found that Phazon was used for these expiriments the same way it was used on Zebes. They came into a huge room and found the extractor that they found on Zebes. "So that's what they were doing on Zebes, saving their Phazon." Drale said. "You! Drop your weapon." Drale heard a guard say. Drale charged his beam and then threw the arm cannon at the guard. Just as it hit the guard the beam fired and incinerated him. The arm cannon fell to the floor. "I just did waht he said." More guards came. "Hold it right there. Don't come any closer or we'll shoot" Their captain said. Samus used her Grapple Beam and yanked the captain to her and killed him. "I didn't come closer." She said. Drale and Samus went after all of then and killed them. They went into an lab that had a sign saying, 'Warning: Biohazard.' When they enetered the roon the saw a huge glass container. Drale scanned and found that it held an Elite Pirate. Wave, Power, Plasma, and Ice Troopers entered the room and began to fire at Drale and Samus. They split up and each took on two groups. As he died, the last one of the trooper hit a button on the conrtol panel and the frozen Elite Pirate began to thaw. The quickly fired for the pirates head. After fifring at him continually he fell down dead. They checked another room that had they same warning sign s the last one. They wen ina nd found another glass container. Samus scanned and found that it contained an Omega Pirate. The container wasn't frozen this time. They tried to get out, but the door was locked. The Omega Pirate busted out of the container and busted down the wall behind him and went through. They followed him into the room. The room looked exactly like the on that they fought the Omega Metroid in. The thing created four puddles of Phazon. This time Drale delt with the Space Pirates while Samus wnet after the Omega Pirate. Drale shot at him a few times, but mainly stuck with the regular pirates and beam troopers. Samus finally brought down the Omega Pirates. After he was down, Samus and Drale began to search labs.

Chapter Sixteen: The End: Aboard Orpheon II

They found a lab the contained tons of serums and formulas. They found a temperature controle briefcase. The loaded a lot of the experiments into the the case and then went to look for the ship. They searched more labs and obtained more serums. Drale found one of the serums that was used for the Mother Brain. It was the same one that infected him when he was young. He took it and put it in the case. They headed for the hangar, but they ran into a problem. "Hello. Did you miss me?" Ridley said. He was wearing metal armor to hold himself together. "Do you ever die?" Samus asked. "Sometimes." "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" "It's your turn to die. Together." They began to fight. Ridley eveded most of the shots and then attacked with fire balls. They fought until they made there way onto the Operations Deck. Ridley set a course for Tallon IV. A voice came over the intercom saying, "Destenation: Tallon IV. Destruction of Orpheon II, eminent. Ten minutes until impact. Drale fought Ridley for awhile. "Get out of here Samus." He told her. "What about you?" She asked. "I'll figure something out, just go." She ran back to the hangar and boarded the ship. She waited for Drale as long as she could, but there was only one minute until impact. Drale continued to fight Ridley. Dinally Drale struck him down. Ridley fell to his knees and started to say something. He just kept repeating, "It's not my fault, it's theirs." "What are you talking about?" Drale asked. "They did this to me." "Who did what?" "You're father and the other Federation scientists. They turned me into this. Threats began to rise on three of the Federation's planets. SR-388, Tallon IV, and Zebes. Test were run on certain serums that if injected into a person, they could chage into a certain beast at will. The serums were tested on animals and such. Finally they gave one of the serums to the Chozo since they were aliens. They serum worked fine and they were able to deal with the rising threat of the X-Virus. Then they gave one to me, since I was the senator of Zebes. I wasn't able to change into the beast at will. I was stuck. The same happened with the senator of Tallon IV. I didn't choose to be this way. The beast took over. So please, don't kill me." "You had your chance Drale said as he took aim at Ridley. "Thirty seconds until impact." The computer said over the intercom." Drale ran for the escape pods and left Ridley. Just as Drale was about to eneter one with ten seconds left, Ridley attacked him. "I should have killed you." Drale said. "That is why I am smarter than you." Riedley said.
Samus left the hangar waited to see if Drale came out of Orpheon II before the impact, but she didn't see him. "Is he dead Adam?" She asked. "It's highly unlikely that he survived. But I know Drale, he probably found a way out." "You think so? I know he's Drale and has a ton of little tricks, but he's also human." "I know. All we can do is wait."

Samus sat peacefully in the space cruiser, Stormrider.  She had just
seven
months ago destroyed Zebes and everything on it.  Suddenly, an officer
ran
up.  "We're under attack!" he cried.
"I'll jettison my ship and engage," said Samus as she dashed off to
the hangar.
Inside the mysterious vessel attacking the Stormrider, a shadow
commanded to the pilots, "Rip them to pieces."  Samus's ship appeared
out of
the Stormrider.  It blasted with its cannons at the vessel.  However,
the
vessels strange shielding protected it from even the strongest
torpedoes
Samus's ship could launch.  The shielding even protected it from the
Stormrider's weaponry.
"How do we get this thing to quit?!" shouted Samus through the
comlink.
"Have you tried the Fusion blasters?" asked the Stormrider's
commander.
"But they're only prototype forms.  Using them could be dangerous,"
said Samus.
"Would you rather get vaporized by that vessel?" asked the commander.
"Good point, I'll try the Fusion blasters," replied Samus.  At that
moment, the vessel entered hyperspace and was gone.
"Well, that's outta our hair, " said Samus.
"Still, why would it just leave like that," said the commander.
"Beats me.  Let's head back to headquarters.  Samus out," said
Samus.  When the two ships reached Galactic Federation headquarters,
Samus
immediately went to the Commander of the Federation.
"Commander, I ran into  an interesting vessel on my way to KRR5.  It
had strange shielding on it that deflected every kind of weapon we
tried.  I
was about to use the Fusion blasters when the vessel entered
hyperspace,"
reported Samus.
"Did you notice what type it was?" asked the Commander.
"It was an unknown type," replied Samus.
On KRR5, a shadow commanded pirates to man certain mining
facilities.  "We have established our supremacy on KRR5.  We are at
full
strength.  The Hunter cannot destroy us.  the Hunter doesn't even know
that we
are here!  Now, man the stations," said the shadow.
Back at headquarters, Samus received a distress call from KRR5.  The
research facility established there had been destroyed.  Samus quickly
ran to
her ship and jettisoned it.  After three hours, Samus touched down on
KRR5. She
quickly ran to the research station.  She found it overrun by pirates.
"Great!  I'll have to get rid of these scum," said Samus as she
walked in.  The Pirates began to charge her.  Some fell as she
discharged her
Plasma Beam on the horde.  One got up close to her.  His blade snapped
into
position.  Samus punched the pirate with her gun arm.  The Pirate
staggered
back.  Another Pirate snuck up behind Samus.  As soon as she was aware
of him,
she backflipped over the Pirate.  She then quickly froze him with the
Ice
Beam.  Two more Pirates joined the original one.  Samus wall jumped off
the
wall and then landed a kick on one of the Pirates.  One of the others
shot
Samus.  Samus quickly whirled around and fired a missile into the
Pirate's
face.  She then dispatched the other one with a Plasma Beam shot.  Five
more
Pirates showed up.  Then more kept coming.  Samus fought on.  Punching
one,
blasting another, kicking one, blasting here and there.  Samus
eventually had a
pile of dead pirates at her feet.  Suddenly, one last pirate came up
and shot
Samus with a stun cannon.  Samus dropped to the floor.  She moved her
gun up. 
It flopped down.  Her vision blurred.  And then, she could see no more. 
She
awoke without her suit on.  she was wearing some sort of other suit. 
Her
vision cleared.  She couldn't move her arms or legs.  She suddenly
noticed she
was bolted to a wall.  Her Suit was on a table and some Pirates were
poking at
it with tools.
"The Gravity functions on this suit are amazing!  We'd better tell
the boss," said one of them.
"Hey, look!  The Hunter is awake!  We'd DEFINITELY better tell the
boss!" said the other.
"Right, come on," said the other Pirate.  The Pirates left.
"Rgh....what...are...these things made of!?" said Samus as she tried
to break free.
"They're made of Adamantium," said an all too familiar voice.
"Ridley!?" shouted Samus in disbelief.
"Bingo," said Ridley.
"But, your in the depths of Norfair, you were in the explosion!"
cried Samus.
"Don't count on it.  Remember those little friends of yours you
rescued on your way out of Zebes?  Yes, those.  I killed them and took
their
ship," said Ridley.
"What! No!" cried Samus.
"Huh, compassion.  What a lousy piece of crap.  Oh, and thank you for
the Gravity Suit.  I will be using it in my production of Gravity
Pirates.  And
you!  you Pirates," said Ridley.
"Yes, sir?" asked the Pirates.
"You are now assigned to Project Razor, like you always wanted to
be," said Ridley.  The two Pirates were leaping with joy for about 3
seconds. 
Then they quickly straightened out.  "Oh, uh, thank you,
sir," said the Pirates.
"Right, whatever, just get outta here and go work on the project!"
shouted Ridley
"Yes sir!" replied the Pirates as they scrambled out of the room.
"Project Razor?" asked Samus.
"Can't tell, it's a secret, ha! ha! ha!" laughed Ridley.  Ridley left
the room.  There was still three Pirate guards though. 
If I can find out what Project Razor is, an then get outta here, I'll
be able to stop them, thought Samus.  But first things first, how to
get out of
these chains, she thought.
One of the Pirates piped up, "No thinking back there!"
"What do you think I do every moment of every day?" retorted Samus.
"I don't know!  Think o' something!" said the Pirates.
"I thought you told me not to think," said Samus.
"I did, didn't I.  Hey, wait a minute!  You're trying to trick me!"
shouted the Pirate.
"Why would I do that?" replied Samus.
"Uh............Uh.......I guess there isn't a reason!  You wouldn't
trick me!" said the Pirate.
"Your right, I wouldn't," said Samus.  At this moment Ridley walked
in.
"Fools!  Do NOT leave the Gravity Suit in the same room as Samus!"
shouted Ridley.
"Sorry, boss," said the Pirates as they carried out the Gravity
Suit.  There goes Plan A, thought Samus.  Ridley left.
"Awww, stinky!  this tool's broken!" said another Pirate.
"I can fix it," said Samus.
"Oh, thanks, unbolt her, bonehead," said the Pirate.
"But, the boss said," replied the other Pirate.
"Look!  Who's in charge in here!  Do it!" shouted the Pirate.
"OK, OK," said  the Pirate as he 'unbolted' Samus.  Samus took the
tool, whirled around and threw it in the power core, then ran. 
"What does that do?" asked the Pirate.
"It blows up!  Bye!" shouted Samus as she disappeared down the
corridor.  In a few seconds, the power core blew up, obliterating the
Pirates. 
Samus suddenly ran into a Pirate with a laser blaster.
"Hands up!" shouted the Pirate.
"Forget it," said Samus as she twisted the arm of the Pirate, causing
him to drop the gun.  Samus picked it up and blasted the Pirate.  The
Pirate
fell over.  Samus ran on, blasting any
Pirates she saw.  She ran into a door saying, 'No Admittance'. 
"No Admittance, huh?" retorted Samus as she blasted the door over. 
There was a huge  locked security block on the other side.
"Why am I not surprised.  This must be where my suit is," said Samus.
"Why hello, hunter," said a voice.  Samus whirled around, only to see
Ridley.  "You're coming with me," said Ridley.
"I wouldn't count on it," said Samus as she wall jumped off the wall,
behind Ridley, and then ran.
"Get back here!  Security lock down level 7!  The hunter is loose! 
Repeat!  The Hunter is LOOSE!" shouted Ridley.  The whole building
turned
dark.  "What!" shouted Ridley.
"Sir! We have to go to lockdown level 10!  We've lost all contact
with Metroid Bay 7!" shouted a Pirate on the comlink.
"This is the work of the Hunter.  If she freed the Metroids, then she
must have been to the Weapons Bay," said Ridley.
   "Sir, we've lost contact with ALL Metroid holding areas!" shouted
the Pirate on the comlink.
"Is Project Razor still operational?" asked Ridley.
"Yes sir," said the Pirate.
"Good, she hasn't got to Metroid Bay 1 has she?" asked Ridley.
"No sir, not that one, I thought we didn't hold any Metroids there at
this time," said the Pirate.
"We are holding Metroids, Ridley out.  I'd better get to Project
Razor.   I'll have to be wary of Metroids though, even Zeta form," said
Ridley
as he walked off.
Somewhere in the station, Samus was making hit and run strikes on
certain bays, trying to find a way to her suit.  "What does it take to
find a
lock decoder around here!" shouted Samus.
"A lot more than you have to offer, Hunter," said a Pirate as he ran
up to Samus.  Samus  blasted the Pirate.  She picked up his blade. 
This
allowed her to do more close combat.  She went on with her hit and run
attacks,
checking every room thoroughly for a lock decoder.  She finally found
one in
Metroid Bay 4.
"Finally! Now, I gotta get back to the door," said Samus as she
dashed towards the 'No Admittance' door.  she finally got there after
blasting
some Pirates.  She decoded the lock, and then the block opened.  Samus
walked
in.  Her suit was in the middle of the room, and no one was there.  "No
way
it's this easy," said Samus to herself as she cautiously walked into
the room. 
Suddenly the door behind her locked down.  Samus dashed for her suit. 
A Pirate
dropped from the ceiling.  Samus grabbed her suit.  The Pirate punched
her. 
Samus flew out the window on the other side of the room.  She was about
10,000
feet above ground.  Her suit opened.  She quickly fit into it.  She
quickly
then shot her Grapple Beam onto the edge of the window.  The Pirate
walked to
the edge of the window. Samus aimed her gun and shot the Pirate a
couple of
times with the Wave Beam.  The Pirate screamed in pain, and then fell
off the
edge.  Samus heard the bloodcurdling screech as the unfortunate Pirate
tumbled
to the earth.  She quickly climbed up the ledge.  There were seven
Pirates  in
the room.  Samus executed a kick on one of them.  Another charged at
her.  She
dispatched him with the Plasma Beam.  Another one came at her.  Samus
ducked,
caught the Pirate, somersaulted backwards, then kicked the Pirate out
the
window.  The other five ran at Samus.  After a barrage of Super
Missles, only
one remained.  Samus flipped over him.  The Pirate turned around.  Just
then,
Samus, rolled under the Pirate with her Morph Ball.  She morphed out of
it on
the other side of the Pirate.  The Pirate whirled around again.  Samus
landed a
punch to the Pirate's head.  The Pirate Shot Samus a couple times,
pushing her
off the window again.  Samus grabbed the Pirate with the Grapple Beam
and
tugged him off with her.  Then ensued a vicious battle of punches and
kicks
between the Pirate and Samus.  Eventually, Samus shoved her gun up the
Pirate's
gut, and fired a missle.  She landed on the Pirate's dead body.  "Now,
to find
out about Project Razor," said Samus as she walked back into the
station.  A
Pirate Guard ran at her.  She easily destroyed him with the Plasma
Beam.  Any
Pirate that challenged Samus got himself vaporized.  Samus continued
her hit
and run strategy, occasionally meeting up with Alpha and Gamma
Metroids.  "Good
thing there's no Zeta Metroids," said Samus to herself.  Suddenly she
heard
screech.  She whirled around only to see a Zeta Metroid.  The Zeta
Metroid
charged her.  Samus executed the Screw Attack, driving the Metroid
back.  The
Metroid fired some fireballs at Samus.  When the fireballs impacted on
Samus,
she flew back.  She then dived under the Metroid, and discharged about
seven
Super Missles.  She continued this strategy.  The Zeta Metroid latched
onto
Samus.  She struggled to break free.  She finally went to Morph Ball
and layed
a Power Bomb.  The Metroid screamed as it let go of her.  Samus shot
more Super
Missles at the menace.  The Zeta Metroid's fireballs did considerate
amounts of
damage to Samus.  She finally dived under the Metroid for one last
time.  Her
Super Missles finally pierced the Metroid's armor to it's nucleus.  The
Metroid
exploded in a spray of guts.  After this giant fight, Samus stopped to
take a
rest. 
"Energy reserves depleted by five energy tanks," said Samus's
computer.
"Great," said Samus as she got up and walked away.
In another part of the lab, Ridley was overseeing Project
Razor.  "Metroid Bay 1 has been destroyed completely, with all the
Metroids in
it.  However, we still have this project, the Razor Metroid.  Now, get 
to
work," said Ridley as he ordered the Pirates to continue testing on the
monstrous Metroid in the holding tank.  Samus came dashing into the
room at
that point.  Ridley whirled around and met Samus with a blast of plasma
breath.  Samus flew back.  She then discharged missles into Ridley.  A
shield
closed around the Metroid tank.
"What is that!" shouted Samus.
"Something you don't need to live to tell about," said Ridley as he
swiped Samus with his tail.  Samus staggered backward.  She then
quickly
flipped over subsequent swipes.  Ridley flew down towards Samus.  As
Ridley's
head connected with Samus, Samus grabbed Ridley's tail.  She was
carried into
the air.  She looked upwards and saw the shield generator.  She aimed
her gun
at it.  A Super Missle fired out of it.  Ridley quickly threw Samus
into the
air.  The generator exploded at that moment.  Before Ridley could catch
Samus
again, they were both driven back by the enormous blast.  Samus fell
into the
Metroid tank.  She sank to the bottom.  The hole in the tank caused the
subzero
chemical which kept the Metroid dormant to leak out.  The Metroid's
eyes
snapped open.  "What!  The Razor Metroid is loose!  All decks on the
level R
security lockdown!" shouted Ridley.  The Metroid trampled Samus into
the
ground.  It's monstrous form was unfolded when it broke out of the
tank.  It
resembled an Omega Metroid, yet larger with poisonous spikes
everywhere.  It
let loose a screech which rocked the foundations of the very earth. 
Ridley
ordered, "Go!  Destroy the hunter!  Blast her into space dust!" 
Instead the
Razor Metroid swiped Ridley down.  Ridley fired plasma on it.  The
Metroid
reared back in pain, but then picked up Ridley and threw him out a
window. 
Ridley hit the ground with an explosion.  The evil warlord lay
motionless. 
Samus regained her senses.
"What........happened....Holy crap!" shouted Samus as she saw the
monstrous Metroid.  She fired Super Missles at it.  They had no effect
on the
monstrosity.  It devoured the Pirates in the room.  It then headed
straight for
Samus.  The Razor Metroid's fireballs fried all the controls in the
room. Samus
herself was nearly fried when a huge fireball connected with her body.
"Energy reserves at 7 tanks and 67 points," said Samus's internal
computer.
"Whoa, those fireballs knocked off about three tanks," said Samus to
herself.  The Razor Metroid continued to decimate Samus's energy. 
"Wait a
minute!  My ship!  The Fusion blasters!" shouted Samus.  She ran out of
the
room, with the Razor Metroid close behind, blowing up anything in it's
way. 
The Metroid began to gain on her.  Then, Samus's speed booster kicked
in.  She
left the Metroid in the dust.  The Metroid still was in pursuit though. 
It
followed her to the air hangar.  As soon as the Metroid blasted through
the Air
Hangar door, it was met by Samus's Fusion blasters.  The Razor Metroid
was
getting continually pummeled by Samus's Fusion blasters.  It inflicted
some
damage to Samus's ship with it's fireballs.  Eventually though, the
Razor
Metroid fell back, vanquished.  It's body still lay there in the rubble
and
heaps of wrecked metal, but it was defeated.  Samus left the planet in
her
ship.
When she got back to head quarters, she retold the whole story.  "So,
you see, commander, it seems that the Space Pirates are getting into
dangerous
grounds with Metroids," said Samus as she concluded the story.
"Well, Samus, the Galactic Federation will continue to fight the
Space Pirates, but for now, you can go do whatever," said the
Commander.  Samus
just laughed and walked away.  Her ship sped way from the hangar and
entered
hyperspace.
Somewhere in the middle of the Pirate Research Station wreckage, a
lightning bolt struck a certain place.  Ridley's whole form emerged. 
However,
his form was hideously mutated.  "Samus, You'll pay, I swear it!"
shouted
Ridley.  He then screeched at the sky, shaking his fist....
