1965 Series IIA

The West Bergholt Historic Vehicle  Show was a 2 day event, We turned up the Friday Night Ready for the show the next day there were 6 Land Rovers on the stand. and the weather was great.

The Full tilt and hood sticks have arrived Today about11:30am and once my dad got home we fitted it.

Today, We ordered a Full Tilt and hood sticks for "Boom" as she is going full tilt, mean while we have removed the roof and currently we are driving around with no roof, until the tilt and hood sticks arrive. On Friday 25th June the new owner of the rooftent came to collect it. And From our house in Suffolk the new owner Campbell Mackellar was heading for Scotland on holiday with his new roof tent. And has kindly sent me some photos of the roof tent beside Loch Lomond once he returned

I and dad arrived on Friday Afternoon to set up the caravan, for when mum and josh turned up with a van full of Mowers for My Bothers Display of Vintage Mowers it was a great weekend with me and another members land rover going around the ring Sunday afternoon

We went to the Series 2 Club's Pub Meet in Essex last night, and you parked next to a brand new Range Rover

The Essex camp was at Gosfield shopping centre.Me and dad arrived  Friday lunch time, with my brother and mum arriving later in the afternoon.We had the BBQ on the friday night a night earlier then usual . due to the bad weather reports for the following day. Saturday it rained most of the day as expected, but that didn't put us off and we did a spot of greenlaning. We unbolted the roof tent before we went. so we didn't hit the trees while greenlaning.Sunday, the weather was lovely and hot,  about lunch time member's from the Kent area of the Series Two Club arrived including John Smith the author of "Land Rover - The Formative Years" with his lovely Pre-Production Land Rover Series 1.He kept us entertained  all afternoon with his tales of his travels and history of the pre-production Land Rovers  Monday  was the day to pack up and say our good byes and leave. We packed away,said our goodbyes and headed home. "Boom" behaved as well as it has ever done. and did us proud.
