* Chemicals can cross-react with test strips, test cups, etc. that might be used for personal at home, or pre-employment drug screening. This cross-reaction would cause a false positive for standard opiate screens which look for the presence of morphine and sometimes codeine in the urine. However, if done through a hospital or labratory testing which use GS/MS, which analyzes the urine and specifically looks for morphine, codeine, and 6-acetylmorphine.. the test would come back negative.
