Previous Post

It's been a while since we've updated the site with some news, but we can honestly say it's because we are too busy to do so! Real life for all of us has taken a little bit of our modding time, but we still try to work diligently on our passion, so that is why we are proud to announce a teaser that will be up and available on July 2nd! Expect great things, and have no mercy! We're expecting our forums to get crowded with suggestions and comments soon!

Making a New World

From the Ered Luin in the west to the Hithaeglir Misty Mountains on the other side, Eriador is a sight to behold. Cradle to many of the fantastic places in Middle-earth, from a variance of Imladris, the Rivendell Haven of Elrond, to the green rolling hills of that Hobbition, nestled in the heart of the Shire, all the way west to those elf docks that take you away to the lands beyond, the first part of our work begins. We choose Eriador to begin with for a number of reasons, but most importantly because it is the largest region, and the heart of Middle-earth. It will allow for hours upon hours of exploration and adventure. We started with a new height map that will nearly quadruple the playable land size of the original beta. In this new upcoming beta you will be able to choose one of three races that will start you on an adventure in Middle-earth. You may choose the Hobbit, which will start you in Hobbition, in the affamed house Bag End. You may also choose the High Elf, which will start you in Rivendell, the House of Elrond. Last you may choose the bearded Dwarf which will Start in the mountain havens of Ered Luin, where the smiths dig deep in the Blue Mountains. Some features the beta will include are mini quests unique to each race and starting town, many new towns and locations, including the starting towns, The Grey Havens, Weathertop, Bree, and the West Gate of Moria. Forests and a large amount of open wilderness for your enjoyment. There will be many creatures to fight, new items to find, dungeons to raid, and fun to be had. After the beta is out we will continue to update the beta with new quests and items for your enjoyment, and occasionally make major updates, such as new cities (i.e. Minas Tirith), new world spaces (i.e Mordor), and ultimately The remainder of the game left to create after the beta. I hope you all enjoy playing it as much as we've enjoyed making it. Have fun in that Middle-earth.

Beta!

We've finished the height map and now the mod is being divided into claims and being prepared for our premier. I (The Grey Wizard) Personally Started development on Rivendell immediately after the map was completed, and many other members have also begun work on the parts of the mod that will be featured. Fang, a ranking member of ours is making a Hobbition Party Tent pack, as well as leading production over the Shire. He is starting Michel Delving first. I personally will do Hobbiton, but things are starting to piece together on this new map. Not only has Fang been working diligently on other aspects of the mod, but he is also planning some side quests for the Shire that will be featured in the up coming beta. Things are moving over at the Middle-earth Roleplaying community, and they'll keep on moving! Don't get too excited about it all, the final development is still far off, but be sure to check out the upcoming beta that will be available soon!
