Registered PMU filly, foaled 2003
Finisterre (which means "lands end" or "earth's end" in French) was the filly who would try to fill the hoofprints that our late Belgian mare Liberty left when she passed in February 2004.
She is a PMU filly, adopted from Spring Hill Horse Rescue in Brandon, VT. She was foaled in 2003 and Spring Hill brought her to their farm in Vermont from Manitoba, Canada. She is a Clydesdale/Paint cross and resembles an old-time Quarter Horse in size and build.
She settled in well with our herd of minis and was adopted by our then three-year old mini mare Freedom, who was quite put out that out of our four minis, she was the only one without a foal of her own (due to her age and maturity but she did not agree with me on that one!).
Finnie listened to Freedom's instructions on how to get along in her new herd and was very happy to duck behind her mini "mom" when the other mares threatened her.

My son Benn is enjoying the view this past summer.
CONGRATULATIONS to Ledger Farm of Temple, NH on the purchase of this outstanding mare - good luck with her show career!
