6:00pm CST: Check-in
7:00: Singing

7:45-8:30: What is Stewardship?-- Joe Novak [all attend]

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace (1 Peter 4:10).
"And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?" (Luke 16:12).

As we study, we first must learn what being a steward is and how we define it as Christians. We will also take a look at several verses and study three Biblical principles of leadership:

  1. God is the Creator and Owner of all things;
  2. We are the stewards of what we have and what we are;
  3. We must render an account of our stewardship.

8:45: Instructions, snacks, fireside singing, free time.

6:30-7:00: Devotions and singing
7:15-8:00: Breakfast and instructions

8:10-9:00: Session I: Stewards of the Gospel-- Andy Diestelkamp [all attend]

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also (2 Timothy 2:2).

Christians are both the "faithful men" and also the "others"! In this lesson we will study why we need to know the Gospel, believe it, love it, live it, and promote it.

9:10-10:00: Session II: Stewards of Time, Ability, and Opportunity-- Steve Bonk (over 20) and Ethan Longhenry (13-19)

We only have and have had 24 hours in a day, and yet how many times do we find ourselves praying for more time? More time is not the answer, but a better use of the time we do have is!

Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time (Colossians 4:5).

As we look to make better use of our time, we must realize how we must use the abilities and opportunities with which God has blessed us.

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure (Philippians 2:12-13).

10:10-11:00: Session III: Stewards of Money and Material-- Jon Quinn [all attend]

Money and material possessions are a part of all of our lives. Some may only have a shirt on their back while others live in grand mansions; in some way, we all have to deal with such things. Knowing where they come from and how to best deal with them will help us get to Heaven.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change (James 1:17).

During this study we will look at the problems of debt, giving of our means on the first day of the week, providing for our own, and being generous to all men.

11:15: Songs and Prayer
11:30-12:30: Lunch and free time
12:30-12:45: Singing

12:45-1:30: Session IV: Stewards of Body and Family-- Al Diestelkamp (married men) and Jeremy Dehut (single men)

Today's attitude is, "it's my body and I will do with it as I please!" In reality it is a body given to you by God in which you live your life. We must use it in accordance with His Word! We will discuss how to avoid abusing our bodies, and controlling our sexual and physical appetites.

"Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food"--and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body...Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body (1 Corinthians 6:13, 19-20).

The married men will also look at being stewards of our wives and our children.

In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church. (Ephesians 5:28-29).

1:40-2:30: Session IV: Stewards of the Church-- Bryan Bickford [all attend]

As we finish up our study on stewardship, we take a look at the Christian's responsibility as a steward in the church. We will take a look at the importance of the church local and universal. We will study why we need to know God's will in order to be able to apply it to our lives in developing our talents and abilities for the Lord's use and for strengthening other Christians. We will also take a look at keeping the peace and purity of a congregation as it grows.

2:30-3:00: Wrap-up, closing, surveys [all attend]
3:30: Optional softball game (bring equipment)
