FMR Video Production-FAQ-3
5. What type of images should I use?
Images-General: If you scan your own images, scan them to 300dpi and save as a .jpg file. Please scan images smaller than 3"x5" to 600dpi. (Your Original images are copied, never altered).
Look for images that invoke emotion, that are sharp and clear and in focus and high quality. A mix of photographs in both landscape and portrait mode is ideal. Older-still images usually require some work, which is included in each package. (Additional images are allowed to any package, however each additional image, will incur a charge to cover my costs).
If you would like a Photo CD of any images I scan and enhance, add $5.00 to your package on the order form.
Digital Images/Still Photographs or a mix of both?
Digital Images are the best, however we can use any type. Digital Images or Still Photographs are best sent on a Photo CD. You can burn your photos to a CD yourself, or have a store such as Wal-Greens or Wal-Mart do it, for a few dollars. We can also download photos as email attachments, or from online photo galleries. If you need to snail mail your photos, check with your local delivery service for the best methods and price. (Insurance would be advisable).
Can I use slides or film negatives?
Yes, but at a cost of $1.50 per slide or image, to cover processing. (Additional charges apply to ship them back to you). Photo CD’s, Musical CD’s, Photographs, slides, negatives, or other material sent to us by snail mail, will be shipped back to you via the same methods in which we receive them. Additional S&H may apply.
