Winterspawn-Member Interview conducted by Kendra [owner]:
Rishi Winter (Winterspawn) is the beloved co-owner of VFs_Orignal_Roots, and today we are going to ask some serious (and not so serious) questions about this satanic little bunny. Rishi, born in India, lives in London, England and is 22 years old. He has been on VF for many years now, and continues to hold a strong repuation on VF. Rishi and I (_HIM_) started VFs_Orignal_Roots in May of 2007 and it has been growing ever since. Rishi has been a great contributor to this cult, and he deserves to become our first member interview.
Alright, starting off, we have a pretty simple question from one of our members Red_Rain:
Where did the name "Winterspawn" come from?
A: The name Winterspawn came unto me as I realized, that since I was born in august, I should have been conceived during the winter months. However there are some references in my head to some cradle of filth lyrics.
That's actually really creative :D. Cradle of Filth kicks so much ass *snaps back into reality*...alright..moving on..:
Why did you decide to start this cult with me :P, and what do you hope to accomplish with this cult?
A: I came up with the idea for this cult originally, however you made it all possible, this was because we all know Vampirefreaks is going downhill, everyone is trying hard to keep it ‘real’, however emokids/preps and scenekids seem to be taking over, not just on Vampirefreaks, but also on myspace, and other networking sites. I hope that by this cult, VF is back as what it was a few years ago, with only rivetheads, metalheads, and scary gothics
We would all love to see VF do that, now wouldn't we?..Now for something more random thanks to the lovely Celina:
If you could travel anywhere and do anything, where would you go and what would you do?
A: I would really love to travel back in time and meet my real parents as I am adopted. I was adopted while I was 5 months old. As to what I would do is a hard question to answer, I guess at the moment id just want to see who made me and whos genes I have in me.

What made you pick VF over other goth sites I.E Gothic match, VampireRave and so on?
A: The simple answer is that I came across it first, and may it by chance or some karmic shit, I have made really great friends here and if I had changed the way I came across this site, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.<br>
VF definetly is one of a kind, to say the least.

When did you get into the goth scene and what sparked your interest in it?
A: I didn’t get INTO the goth scene, I don’t see it as a scene, it is a way of life, however the music and the dress sense makes it more enjoyable, I leaned towards the darker side of life more after reading Laveys work ( I do not follow it). We are a small community, and we care about eachother more than we care about our own family sometimes, don’t let emokids ruin it.
Definelty, emo kids are trying their fucking best, now arent they?..
Onto one that is a little more...erm..studious???..(From OKtober):
Assuming that you read and enjoy movies like the rest of us, What is your favorite book and movie?
A: My favourite book has to be the Bible, I have read it, I know when it has been quoted anywhere in any text. But it is also my favourite because it burns well in a fireplace. My favourite movie has to be ‘IT’ by Stephen King ( yeah the clown one)<br>

Since we are on the subject of books, what exactly are your reading patterns, the kind of books you have in your collection?
A: I love fiction, horror and suspense, however I hardly read these days because I am busy getting my own apartment and haven’t got the time, the books I have include Angels and Demons, and The Davinci Code by Dan Brown, Some by RL Stine, and yes I do also have Sweet Valley High books (yeah fuck off hehe)

We all know that you live in London. How do you like it there, and what is your favorite thing to do around the city?
A: London is a preety cool place to be in if you know your way around, however the suburbs can be a bit boring as there are not many things to do for people our age. I wouldn’t say I dislike London, but I love it because of all my friends that live here with me, whichever place you chose to live in, it will only matter if friends are around. My favourite past time to do is go watch a movie at my local cinema or hang out in Camden.

What do you find yourself thinking about the most often and why?
A: Honestly, call me selfcentred or selfish, I think about myself a lot, if I don’t care about myself, there is no way I could take care of the people I love and cherish.

If you could change anything about yourself what would it be?
A: I wouldn’t change a thing, not even my past; it’s made me who I am today.
Thats actually a good thing. :) Seeing as we are on the topic of your personality and such..lets kick into one from OKtober again:
What songs do you feel tell who you are?
A: A Gothic Romance - Cradle of filth – as I do have a darkly romantic side which usually only comes about when im in love.
SpellBound – Dimmu Borgir - as I am not a Laveyan Satanist, but a Luciferian.
Having said that, I do not believe a song can ever bring out a persons real side, a persons real side would only come out if you put them against situations they hate to be in.

A: Really loud music, being with my friends, tasty food, and the thought of snogging Dani Filth.

do you have an artistic side and if you do what is it?
A: Yes I do, I write a lot of poems which I sometimes change into songs, I have sung for some local bands, however I did not want to get paid, I did it for enjoyment.

when was the last time you expressed your dark side and how did it go?
A: Depends what you mean by ‘Dark’, I can be as sure as hell my dark side does not provide cookies. In fact this is a good question, I cannot remember the last time I was actually nice to someone I didn’t care about.

what was the last nice thing you did and when?
A: I told the person I really care about that I love her a few hours ago by Text message as she is in Italy for a holiday.

Love, Happiness, Money, or Fame which do you find to be the most appealing and why?
A: Happiness id say, this is because if a person is not happy, he cannot gain either of those that you mentioned. Sure you can get your 15 minutes of fame by being upset and cutting yourself and becoming emo and joining myspace, but seriously is that what we want? lol
