MELONYS CHIHUAHUAS

I  love this breed and have for several years. I have been breeding for about 6 years. But i am somewhat new to breeding chihuhuas. I am a stay at home mother of 2 young boys. I am located in louisville KY. I breed AKC and CKC chihuahuas. We have several different colors, including merles but specialize in chocolates. We will have smooth coats and long coats to choose from. I am a very small breeder in which all of my dogs are raised im my home. They are first and foremost my pets or furry four legged children. They are around children and other animals from the time they are born. So they are used to all the sites and sounds of a home enviroment. I do not breed tea cups as there is no such thing. The AKC standard on a chihuahua states that they are a well-balanced dog that does not exceed 6lbs and does not go below 2lbs. The term TEA CUP is used as a sales gimmick to get you to pay more money. These so called Tea Cups are just a normal standard of the chihuahua. Please do your research on any breed before you buy it. Please note that chihuahuas are a life long commitment as some can live into their twenties.  Raising a pup of any breed is taxing and hard work.
