Welcome Inline Skaters

   Hello skaters!

Here, you will find information about speed skating, recreational skating, aggressive, inline hockey, and lessons in Melbourne, Australia.

New skate shop has opened in May 2003!

Right down there at 8 Railway Walk Nth, Hampton (Melways reference 76 F6) .  It  caters to the recreational, aggressive, hockey and speed skating population.  Bayside Blades will also carries clothing, shoes as well as skate accessories.  For more info, Go to www.baysideblades.com.au email myself or Neil at shop@baysideblades.com.au or phone 03 9598 977. As a consequence of the new shop, I will leave this site as it currently is (as of June 2003).

There is also a forum....go to www.baysideblades.com.au/forum and check out the latest news.

Street Active clinics are back on again!

Last year, I did the street, hockey and vert clinics which were incredibly good fun as well as improved my skating confidence enourmously.  Remember, age or gender is no barrier!! Check www.streetactive.org for more information.

Remember------skate safe, wear protective gear!

For those looking for a gentle skate, please join us on Wednesday nights* (weather permitting) at 7:30 p.m. Meet at Station Pier roundabout for an easy roll to St.Kilda and back. This skate is suitable for the newer skater as it is flat, not fast and supervised, however, anybody can meet the group since it is a fun way to chill out.

*Please note: Skating can be a dangerous activity and it is highly recommended to wear a helmet, knee pads, elbow guards and wrist guards. Skate at your own risk. If you go gumby and fall and have road rash, make sure you show everybody your resulting scabs and scars - this is part of skating etiquette!
