It has been a good day, despite this niggling cold!I did the housework (cant stand for my house to be a mess, and having 3 pets means it is a never ending job to keep this house tidy), then John and I walked to Johns parent's with Foxy. There is a shopping centre near where John's parents live, so we left Foxy at theirs and went for our groceries. It was absolutely freezing, so pleased I put on my woolly jumper, fleece waistcoat, fleece jacket and woolly hat! We went back to Johns parents and drank a most welcome cup of hot sweet tea. Joyce (John's mam) bought me a most beautiful christmas cactus , it is so pretty, it has loads of buds on it just waiting to burst into flowering joy! (I've got it sitting in a blue and white vintage bowl on the window and it looks lovely). When we came home, we were greeted with waggy tail's galore! John set up the perculator and made me a lovley cup of black coffee while I got the laundry off the line. We turned the central heating on full, and sat together on our computers while our pets slept peacefully, dreaming sweet dreams. I browsed around the net for a while then ran myself a steaming hot bath, I was going to add vicks to the bath, but decided that my already watering eye's just couldnt take anymore stinging (have you noticed how vicks makes your eyes sting?), so I added lavender soap petals insted which desolved in the hot water making a mountain of glorious bubbles. I relaxed for a while then washed my hair, I had the fluffiest towel I could find on the radiator warming, and it was bliss to wrap myself in warm, fluffy heaven. I put on my lavender , pressed pj's and freshly laundered snuggly dressing gown. When I came down stairs, a cup of fresh coffee was waiting on my desk for me (my hubby is so thoughtful) and after I drank that, I got out the fleece blanket and feather pillow, and made myself a little bed on the sofa. I snuggled under the blanket and was just drifting off to sleep, when someone banged really loudly on the door. John was in the study so he didnt hear it, so I had to climb out of my beautifully warm blanket and answer the door feeling a little dazed, it was our neighbour, and in his hands he held a square brown box which the postman left in his care, to give to me. I thanked him, and rushed into the study to open my bundle, it was the fantastic pink whistling kettle I bought off ebay, I love it, it looks great sitting on the hob! I decided there was no point trying to sleep again so I just stayed up and began typing out this, about my day.Im going to eat supper soon, tidy up abit, then John and I will snuggle under the blanket and watch the last two episodes of '24 season 6', fantastic.I cant wait to climb under the duvet and snuggle down in the feather mattress, and drift off into a deep sleep, I am ready to drop.Well, goodnight everyone, Sleep tight and sweet dream's.
Well, it is Monday morning and I am loaded with cold! I just woke up this morning feeling quite ill, Im constantly blowing my nose, my eyes are streaming and I've got no energy, but, must crack on, things to be done, I cant let a runny nose stand in my way!Today, I plan on doing the housework and getting the groceries in, then after that, I will come home, have something warm and comforting for tea, take a long, hot candle lit bath and snuggle under my lovely fleece blanket for the rest of the night. We got woke up this morning with bang, bang, banging, the workmen are in next door doing renovations and it is driving me nuts, no peace at all!The weather is dull today, proper autumn weather.
