Title: Ryuusei no Rockman Site Update
Posted By: MZ EXE. Posted On: September 15 2006 ______________________________________________________________________
Capcom of Japan has recently updated the Ryuusei no Rockman Homepage today.
A
Brother Acceptance screen will prompt you, asking you if you want to
accept. Clicking on the Brother shows him as a LV3. Seems to be using
Pegasus as well. Power Up Data also shows you can down a PC Desktop
Wallpaper for 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, and 1280 x 1024 resolutions. I'm
also not really sure if this is a certain HP requirement to make it
appear. This finally brings our Battler
Card to LV2.

The
Three Versions have been added to the site with official art of the
Title Screen Logos with some art of the new Star Force System forms by
clicking the red button under the three Title Screen Logos. Clicking
will show a Star Force System's art.

In
other updates, TGS2006 has been added to the events information. Also,
the first button on the Left and clicking the "NEW" button will show
off how the battle system actually works in a movie demonstration.
Battle Cards such as Cannon and other Battle Cards will show how they
work in action. Unlike Twin Leaders, you actually get to TOUCH what you
want. The good ol' Enemy Deleted message just like the EXE series games
will pop up. Then the Result screen where Time, Busting LV, and GET
DATA, as we can see the old Zenny picture from the EXE series is
retained as well.
Next update on 9/23 will have the TGS2006 Promotional Trailer up on the site for download.

Posted On: September 11 2006 ______________________________________________________________________
As I posted during the last days of August, Megaman Storm has opened up a Fangame page, which include Megaman New Horizon, and now, Megaman Battle Network 7. If you decide to download the games, then I suggest checking out the site for info. Currently, they only have one feature on MMBN 7, which is the A.R.M.O.R System. What is the A.R.M.O.R system...? Go check it out. Just click here to check the Fan game pages.

Title: Leap into the future?
Posted By: NovaX
Posted On: September 9 2006 ______________________________________________________________________
Capcom USA continues to act in a most curious manner as the release date for their next Mega Man title, Mega Man ZX.
However, the title is not being completely ignored as Capcom has put together a Mega Man ZX web page to promote the game. Unfortunately, it lacks much of the splendor that Capcom of Japan's sites hold, as seems to be the norm for most of Capcom's game pages on this side of the Pacific.
Further piquing our curiousity is the fact that-- as far as one can tell-- there is no link to this page from Capcom USA's website, but rather, the link was found through a banner advertisement on Nintendo of America's website.
And as Jaxel from Megaman Network had noted before, Capcom does not seem to be taking pre-orders for this game, either, not even through the official webpage.
One can only now speculate as to why Capcom is releasing a game, but not selling it, why they created a web page, only to not link to it.
It is a most curious phenomenon indeed.

A popular game site, IGN, has given the new Megaman ZX game a very positive review. You can check out the review right here. Throughout the whole review, it goes over the games basic aspects, and its major improvements over the previous Zero series. There are also some new screenshots from the game which demonstrate portions of the translation, that honestly looks pretty good. Also, there are some new vids

Title: ZX rating in Nintendo Power and more!
Posted By: NovaX
Posted On: August 29 2006 ______________________________________________________________________
In the October edition of Nintendo Power, Megaman ZX was given a 8.5/10. That'a pretty good rating, right? The only problem with the game is that it's still in place even with level designs almost similar to Metroid. However, the rest of the cool features in ZX still makes this a game fans won't be disappointed at.
In other news, Megaman Storm has recently opened up their Fan Games page, where project games, such as Megaman New Horizon and Megaman Battle Network 7, are at. There, you will find reviews, screenshots, release dates, etc. for each fan game. So far, they only have MMNH available right now, but will soon upload the MMBN 7 page. Check out the fan page here.

Title: Hitting the airwaves October!, Animated Rockman show!
Posted By: NovaX
Posted On: August 28 2006 ______________________________________________________________________
Gyroman_black, who attented the EXE King of Netbattler Championship event in Tokyo this past Saturday, has discovered that the animated series for Ryuusei no Rockman will begin airing on October 7th in Japan. The show is said to be an installment of "Oha Colloseum," which Rockman EXE Beast+ currently is now, indicated that Ryuusei itself will air in 10 minute long episodes.
As another bit of trivia from the event, the trademark saying from EXE "Plug in! Rockman.EXE, Transmission!" will be superceded with "Radio Conversion! (Denpa koukan!) Hoshikawa Subaru On Air!" in Ryuusei. Also, Ryuusei's game genre, in Japan anyway, has been decided as "Brother Action RPG."

Title: New LiveMetals
Posted By: NovaX
Posted On: August 25 2006 ______________________________________________________________________
It seems that there are two new livemetals on Megaman ZX. I'll explain the first one. This is some pretty good info so read very carefully.
The new livemetal, Model OX, is pretty nifty. Why?... because the O stands for Omega as in the final boss in Megaman Zero 3. Model OX has many similar abilities as Omega Zero: executed with certain commands while in Overdrive and has infinite weapon energy. How awesome is that?!? Here is how Model OX looks like.
The last livemetal cannot be obtained, but is used by Serpent. That particular livemetal is Model W. It was formed by pieces of the Ragnarok Space Station core, which Dr. Weil fused with at the end of Megaman Zero 4. It seems that Ciel analyzed these pieces and developed the other six livemetals to stop Model W. Though succesful, Serpent finds a small piece of Model W 10 years before prior to the game, which causes the maverick attacks. The only time it is used is at the end of the game, as I said earlier, only by Serpent.
I will post new info whenever I find some ASAP!

Title: Versions of Ryuusei no Rockman
Posted By: NovaX
Posted On: August 24 2006 ______________________________________________________________________
As reported first on TUS, the three versions of Ryuusei no Rockman will be Pegasus, Leo, and Draco. The corresponding colors that are inferred are also correct.
It seems the story will go that the people of Subaru's country will have different "satellites" or constellations that watches over them. In essense, this is similiar to a religion of sorts. In this case, from the pictures on the Ryuusei Official Site, Luna is watched over by the Pegasus, Gonta by the Leo, and Kizamaro by the Draco. In the picture also, Subaru is watched over by the Pegasus, but this will likely change with what version you will be playing.
Also, the Ryuusei Official Site updated their "Anime" link, which now links to the old TVTokyo Beast Anime site.

Title: Megaman New Horizon
Posted By: NovaX
Posted On: August 18 2006 ______________________________________________________________________
Here is some news about the new GBA emulator megaman game at megaman new horizon:
Some of you may have seen or heard about a game being developed by this group of talented people, called MegaMan New Horizon. It is developed for the VGBA emulator, and has been worked on for around 3 years. It is a massive project with a lot dedication and hard work.On th 14th of August, they have released the demo of the game to give a sample of what to come. Read on for the review.

The game takes place during the MegaMan Zero series. After many battles against the Neo Acadia, X (in his cyber-elf form) suggest a new plan for peace; to leave Tera and start a new life on the far away planet Epsilon Indrii. However, Zero, Ciel and others of the Resistance do not wish to withdraw their weapons, and in result the Resistance divided. One part stayed to finish the war, the other left for the new planet on the ship called "Icarus." Years later, once settled on Epsilon Indrii, disaster strikes in the new capitol, Elysium. The threat of mavericks has returned, and the fate of people and reploids lies in the hands of the legendary reploid, Mega Man X.
The story itself is rather very interesting, and ties quite well within the MegaMan Zero series, if you have played all of them. This though, is just a small fragment of the actual depth of the story. If you wish to know more, visit the game game plot page at the MegaMan New Horizon website.

Now, let's talk about how the demo is played. You start out in a laboratory playing as X. The basic actions of the game are jumping, walking, dashing, and wall kicking. The buster charge is not available at the moment in this demo, but maybe it will be enabled later on as more development is progressed. As well, your buster only fires one bullet at a time, with a small break between each shot. The only way to achieve something close to rapid fire is to walk and pressing the fire button. So far, those are the main controls you have and weapons.
The A.I. of the game is actually rather intelligent in some cases, and is probably tougher at this point than what you have seen in the MegaMan Zero series. If they see you, they'll come in your direction and open fire. If you damage them they'll try to charge at you, and at the same time to go around and hit you from behind. In some cases, they can easily team up against you. Be aware, since the charged shot and rapid fire hasn't been introduced yet, you might get killed easily if you hang around a group of them.
The areas in the game are very well done. They suite the game really well, and bring a certain feel to them as you go from a laboratory, to the damaged street full of mavericks for you to destroy. The area that I really liked was the damaged lab, which is located past the street areas. It has a nice window effect, which turns the persepective as you move either forward or back. That gives it a more realistic feel to the game.
Speaking of areas and graphics, the MegaMan New Horizon also offers a cinematic for you to enjoy. It tells the basic story of the game, along with some of the best looking artwork I have seen in a GBA game. They look stunning, colorful, and fit in perfectly with every description shown below them.
The music that I've heard in the game so far fits the mood and the areas really well. For example, when you are on the damaged streets of Elysium, the music is more fast paced giving it more tension, and a battle-like feel to it as you fight your way through against the mavericks.
Overall, this is a very well done demo. It provides you with a starting plot of the game, key controls that you will most likely be using in the full version, and vast enviroments to keep you waiting to play others. The game itself offers a large variety of characters, many different areas of the new world, and amazing collection of events that will probably all occur in this game, which will make it long lasting and enjoyable. There are some bugs in the demo, but nothing that will hurt the gameplay. You may also notice that many of the effects haven't been added yet. Remember, this is only the demo.
You may also add a suggestion of your own here., which may be used in the game later on. Finally, if you have an error or bug to report, before submitting it, please check the Technical Details page. If what you are about to report isn't there, then you should submit it.
Do I recommend you to try the demo? Yes, I do. You can download it here

Title:
Posted By: MZ EXE.
Posted On: August 11 2006 ______________________________________________________________________
Right on schedule, Capcom has updated their 20th Rockman anniversary page to the official Ryuusei no Rockman homepage.
On first observation, besides the new nightly design and the movable laser-connected buttons, the page seems come with an interesting concept to personalize your own page. Now at the beginning, there isn't much to personalize, except than writing your nickname (IF you can manage to type it in, since it doesn't accept traditional western keyboard inputs), but with upcoming updates to the page maybe we can expect more to come with it.
As for infos, the page is divided into 4 sections:
- Information
- Anime Info
- Movies
- Download
Only the Information section is open for contents at the moment, containing information about the System (Wave Battle and Brother Band), characters (Subaru and War-Rock), and the World (Story, Waveroads and Transer).
Brother Band: A system that lets a player power up mutually with friend players he/she joins into agreement with. If someone becomes a brother, things like that player's remaining battle cards show up as Power Up Data on the own Brother Card.
There are three conditions to becoming a brother: 1. One battles the opponent who wants to become a Brother. 2. After the battle ends, he/she applies to be a Brother. 3. Both exchange a mutual secret. (Friend player probably means WiFi connected players.)
Power Up Data: Favorite: Six battle cards are chosen randomly from the ones your Brothers have, of which one card from each of them can be used in battle. Link Ability: HP and buster attack power increase the more people one is Brothers with. Best Combo: ???
Transer: Naturally, it's the new handheld terminal that people use, much like the PET in the EXE games. It can create all kinds of useful functions with special cards called the "Card Force." One could use a study program Card Force for example, and take school lessons without even going to school. There are also types of Card Force cards called Battle Cards, which are used to fight viruses.
The Transer info page seems to have a Personal Page function, where the player can customize his/her own Rockman.
Much importantly, the page also features the Nintendo Wi-Fi logo! This should pretty much confirm that Capcom has any kind of worldwide connectivity in mind for the game.
To sum it off, the page features one nice Sample BGM of what is most probably the new Main Theme.
Ryuusei no Rockman is slated for a December 2006 release.
