Nicknames for Anthony Caine.
Boxcar:
Euphemism in place of a curse word. Defined by Grandpa Jim.
The Continental:
Nickname for Gerald Forsythe based on a character from an SNL skit. From a strip where Gerald tries to get to second base with April by bringing wine. Nickname courtesy of Cookie.
The Creature, Martian, Princess, Spoiled Martian Princess Creature:
What April Patterson’s family calls her.
Crown Prince Poopy Pants; Eat Dirt:
Nickname for Robin Patterson. Eat Dirt is a

The Delicate Genius:
Nickname for Michael Patterson, who everyone in the Patterson World seems to believe is a gifted writer. Monthly letters from Mike prove beyond a doubt that this is not true.

Livejournal community dedicated to reading, discussing, and more often than not, ranting about FBorFW. Founded and maintained by Cookie until recently; DreadedCandiru2 now usually sets up the daily post, though Cookie still frequents the boards.
Gig:
A promiscuous girl. Defined by Duncan Anderson.
Going After:
The attempted rape (or assault, whichever) of Elizabeth Patterson by Howard Bunt.
Jelly:
John and Elly Patterson as a couple.
Jon Benet:
Nickname for Meredith Patterson. From the glammed up way she is often drawn, closer to a teen than a tot.
Kool-aid Drinkers; Kool-aid Nation:
Fans of FBorFW so brainwashed that they refuse to see any faults in the characters or writing. From the People’s
Lips of Loveliness:
Referring to large lips spontaneously appearing on female characters in an apparent effort to make them pretty.
Lizthony:
Liz Patterson and Anthony Caine as a couple.
Lizard; Lizard breath:
Nicknames for Elizabeth Patterson. Lizard Breath coined by Mike Patterson.
Lynn; Lynn Johnston; LJ:
The creator/writer/artist of For Better or For Worse. Once a great cartoonist and storyteller, now hopelessly out of touch with the modern world and readers, relying mainly on “Did you know I knew Sparky” references (See above) and her “courageous” stand by having Lawrence Poirier come out. Described by a former employee as “Terrifying Perky.” Seems more desperate for attention as each year goes by.
Lynnion:
A cross between Lynn and a Minion. Work for LJ drawing and writing the strip when she’s off boasting that she knew Sparky. Despite working for
Oops Baby:
A baby that was unplanned for, such as April Patterson.
Patterass; Patterbutt:
Large posteriors belonging to the Pattersons, frequently seen from unpleasant angles.
Pattermanse: Mike's childhood home, where he, Deanna and the Patterspawn live now. (DWB Cookie.)
Patterson Redux:
Nickname for Mike and Deanna Patterson, and their children, who are living their lives almost exactly like John, Elly, Mike and Liz before them.
Patterspawn; Pitterpattersons:
Meredith and Robin Patterson
Potato Nose:
Large noses. See Elly and John for example. According to LJ: “Big honkers are funny!”
Randace:
Candace Halloran and Rudy Dodd as a couple.
Retcon:
The term retcon means retroactive continuity: a device for backtracking in order to fill in plot holes. (DWB Cookie.) The term dates back to the early eighties, but is often used by the Foobiverse.
Roadside:
Euphemism for sex. Defined by Duncan Anderson.
Settlepocaplyse; Settlocolypse:
Liz's inevitable nuptials with Blandthony. (DWB Anonymous.)
Shan...non:
April's handicapped 'friend' Shannon Lake. Named after Lynn's idiosyncratic way in which she re...pre...sents the girl's di...a...louge. (DWB DreadedCandiru2.)
Sheet Shaver:
Colloquial term for Elly Patterson based on a Sunday strip where she shaved poor quality bedsheets that had pilled up after only a few washes. (DWB DreadedCandiru2.)
Yahooivans:
Kool-aid drinkers frequenting the Yahoo FBorFW board. Apparently the Foobiverse’s evil twin.
Zits an' Vacuuming: Any pointless strip or storyline that takes time away from plot development. Most of November and December of '05 was spent on these riveting topics. Meanwhile, Liz was courting with Paul, but I guess we didn't need to see that. (DWB Cookie.)
