Chapter 1- The incident It was ending... it had to be ending. The vision was becoming black... But as the black took over, white began to emerge. White turned into a blob. Black became gray. A figure was forming out of the white blob. Soft, calming music played in the background. The figure smiled and reached out a hand. It seemed nice enough. Just as she stuck out her hand to hold the figure's hand, the eyes of the figure appeared. They turned red. Evil. She screamed. It was over. No more. But she continued panting, sweating. She wondered what that dream was about. She continued to sit there in bed, thinking. "Ann! Get your butt down here and stop screaming!" She opened her mouth to speak, but stopped. She lazily dragged her feet down the stairs. "Ann, you're 16 years old," Tony said, acting like their mom. "That's why you're such a dork!" He laughed. She rolled her eyes and poured her cereal. "Hey, what's that?" He pointed at a bug in her cereal. She screamed, knocking over her glass of oj all over her shirt. "Tony, stop annoying you sister." Their mom said. He gave her that 'What-did-I-do-look', and snorted. Anne left, without hardly eating a bite. She went to her room, thinking,
All he's ever wanted to do to me is annoy me. Just because he's 18, doesn't mean he's better than me. But, she disregarded that and started to get dressed.
Running downstairs, she shouted,
"See ya mom!" She ran out the door and saw her neighbor, Jesse.
Man, he's SO cute..
She caught up to him and stared.
"Hey." he said. She admired his voice.
"H-" She began.
Thud.
~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~"Is she alright?" Someone asked.
"I sure hope she is." said someone else.
"While she's still asleep we should do it." There was a long pause.
"Alright.."
"Are you sure she will be ok?"
"Yes, but we recommend you go home. We'll call you when she is feeling a little bit better, so you can visit."
There were two replies to the statement.
"Alright, but be careful."
"No."
"But she won't_"
"I said no."
"Alright then.... but be sure to be quick, and don't turn on the lights."
Footsteps were heard. Ann doubted that this was a very good person. She could hear deep breathing. Suddenly, whatever she was lying on became pointy. Her back, head, and neck hurt. She moaned softly.
"It's ok, Ann."
Who could it be? Mom? Todd, her admirer? (she did not admire him) Alex, her best friend?
"In case you didn't notice, I have a huge crush on you..."
Todd. But just to make sure, she opened her eyes. It hurt, but she opened them.
"Anne!" It was Jesse. H-he likes me? But he's a senior. And he has a girlfriend. Wait, two-timer??
"You're a two timer?!?" Anne exclaimed.
"Don't shout, it'll hurt your voice." He smiled.
"I'm glad you're ok."
"Tell me!" She ordered, angrily.
"Fine, no! I'm not a two timer! I broke up with Trixie three weeks ago!" He said. Footsteps were coming. He gasped. He wasn't supposed to be here this late. He shushed her and ducked behind the bed. The door swung open, light shining in. The doctor came in and looked around. Anne squinted and saw him. She could just make out the letters on his name tag. P-E-T_
"Who's there??" He asked. He saw her eye was open. He took a needle from the table and played with it.
"What to do, what to do? Oh, I know! Put you back to sleep because you have been a very naughty girl. You aren't supposed to be up, now are you? Well, you'll just have to pay the consequences." He said
She started to think that he was the evil smiling figure. She struggled to get up as he moved towards her. But then, BOOM! He fell backwards. Was it Jesse? She looked to her right. It was Tony. Tony, her big brother. The one that put a bug in her cereal. The one who she thought hated her. She motioned him over and hugged him. It felt good to hug him. She couldn't stop...
"Um..."
"Sorry."
She looked for Jesse, but he wasn't there. He left? Why did he leave? Where did he go? In her thoughts, she drifted off to sleep.
Carli, her best friend was there. She smiled at something. A boy appeared in front of her. He had black, straight hair and blue eyes. His teeth shined when he smiled. He was cute, but not Ann's type. Although it was Carli's. He seemed to be telling her jokes and making Carli happy. They took each other's hands and walked along a path. The picture started to fade. She heard birds chirping in the background. But then the birds stopped. And it was black. She heard a voice. 'Save them, child. Someone will hurt them. Possibly, they could hurt you. You shall embark on a journey that will change your life. Save any good person in your path. Befriend others that truly respect you. Take the right path. But they, they are your true mission. Be safe, and save them.' The speaker appeared. It was a young, blue haired, green eyed, witch. She held a forest-green ball . What seamed like creeks in the ball glowed like the sun. 'Save them.'
She felt as if it was her duty. Saving Carli was her mission. She had to do it. And she would. But she didn't know how to. She didn't know who the boy was or who was going to hurt him and Carli. How would they hurt Carli? Why? When? It seemed impossible that Ann was going to save her Carli when she doesn't even know what to save her from.
A week later, when Ann had recovered, she finally was leaving the hospital. She didn't even find out what happened to her and why she fainted in the first place. Plus, a couple days before she left, the doctor had done something suspicious. He had entered the room, taken a needle and slipped out the door. Who knows what his devious plan could be? But what if there was no plan? There was a possibility of that, but Ann knew that he could not be trusted.
Otherwise, his eyes might become red.
Or maybe he'll grow fangs.
Or claws.
No, that's just silly. But he still could not be trusted.
Ann sat in bed quietly, waiting for her tea to cool. She thought about all the strange things that had happened the previous day. What would it be like to have another day, just as strange as that one? Or another? Or maybe again? Or maybe one more time? Ugh, the thought crossed her mind more than a few times. She couldn't stop thinking about what would happen next.
What if...? No that's....What if she was...psychic? No, no...that's impossible. But what about all those dreams? Those.... "visions". Well, it did fit the category. It did sound quite right. But still, that was impossible. She doesn't even believe in "visions", or "psychic". But the man, the doctor was in her "vision". Carli and that boy were in her vision. She couldn't decide whether it was real or not. Silly, or really, really real.
Dvvvvvv..... Dvvvvvv.... Ann's phone moved as it vibrated on the table. She groaned, and, thinking it was her alarm clock, pressed the "speaker phone" button.
"Ten more minutes....." She mumbled.
"Um..... Ann?"
"Omigosh! My alarm clock is talking to me!!!!" Ann exclaimed surprisingly and rolled off her bed.
"This is Carli! Did you think your cell phone was your alarm clock again?!"
"No.... well, I don't think I did...." Ann trailed off, starting a new subject.
"So, why did you call? Did you see a UFO?!" Ann said sarcastically. She picked up her phone and set it on her dresser as she brushed her hair.
"Well, since you FOR SOME REASON MISSED SCHOOL yesterday__" Carli began.
" About that...." Ann said.
"Don't interrupt me!!!!" Carli scolded and then continued.
"Since you for some reason missed school yesterday, I sat alone at an empty lunch table. And GUESS who came along?!?"
"Ryan?"
"NO!! It was a half Japanese exchange student from Tokyo! His name's Matthew, and he is SOOOOO cute! Anyway, he sat down next to me and winked. We introduced ourselves. Then guess what happened?????" She squealed.
"A UFO appeared?!" Ann repeated, in an excited voice. Inside she wondered, if that might have been the boy in her vision.
"STOP IT! BE SERIOUS!!! He said 'You're a pretty cute girl, you know that? By the way, are you in Ms. Saliski's homeroom?' And omigosh, I was! So, I said so, and he said 'I guess I'll see ya later then.', Awesome, right?"
"I guess." Ann said. Her jerk of a boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend) , Ryan, had been avoiding her and flirting with other girls in front of her. He hadn't even had the guts to break up with her in person. So, she had broken up with him herself.
She grumbled. Carli was making a big deal out of nothing.
"Carli, will you just tell someone who cares?"
~Beeep Beeep~
Ann rolled her eyes and slammed her phone on her bedside table. Carli had always been a drama queen like this. Once they got to school, everything would be just fine.
Ann showered and changed in silence. She couldn't believe what she had just done, even if it was probably just a little, tiny, fight.
Tony banged on the door with his muscular fist. Ann had locked the door and couldn't decide whether to open the door or not. Then she remembered the night at the hospital.
"Come in." Ann said with a plain voice.
"Uh, in case you forgot, IT'S LOCKED." Tony said
Ann unlocked the door and swung herself back onto her bed, pretending he wasn't there.
"Listen, little sis'. I haven't gotten a chance to talk to you..."
"Why'd you leave?"
"Huh??"
"Why'd you leave after you knocked the doctor out. Oh, better yet, why did you even knock him out?" She demanded, not even looking at him.
"First of all, If they'd caught me, I'd probably be in jail." he said.
"Don't exaggerate, Ton'. And answer the other question." she ordered.
"And I knocked him out 'cause.....'cause you're my little sister, Ann. It's my job to take care of you. And when I annoy you... well, just don't take it personally. It's what the "big bros" do. Like, I bet..."
"I know, I know." Ann said and giggled. She gave Tony a big hug.
~Awkward Moment~
"Well, I guess I'll see you later.." Tony trailed off.
"Dork!" He shouted and ran out of the room.
Ann didn't bother chase him, because this time, she took his advice. She didn't really take it personally. Because he was just teasing her a bit.
Ann shoved her cell and her books in her bag. She ran down the stairs to eat breakfast.
"Same routine. Every day. Nothing more." Ann said, obviously showing that she was dreading to go to school. Not only because she didn't like it all that much, but because Carli was really mad at her. Well, at least, it felt like that.
She slipped on her messenger bag and sighed.
As Ann left the house, she once again saw Jesse. She hadn't even caught up to him, when he said,
"Hey, Ann!"
"Huh? What is it?"
Jesse laughed. Ann pertended to laugh along with him but an odd frown crept across her face.
"What's wrong?" Jesse inquired, looking concerned.
"Nothing, I'm fine.." Ann mumbled quietly as she walked ahead of Jesse.
"What were you going to say?" She asked, not looking at him.
"Well.. I guess it's not really THAT important..." He purposely wanted to make her ask what it was.
"Just tell me." She turned around blocked his path.
"Well, you know what happened at the hospital..?" He began the conversation with a question.
Ann nodded, now walking alongside Jesse.
"Just forget what happened. The whole thing how I liked you. Just forget it, you know. No worries. You don't have to say sorry. Because I know you think I'm a weirdo now."
Ann gave him a queer look.
"Huh?"
"Don't try to fake it now. I'll just face it. I'm not good enough. That's why you're acting all weird, right? Because you think I'm a weirdo and you don't want to talk to me."
Jesse ran ahead of her, but for a split second, Ann saw his face.
He was crying, why was he crying? Ann didn't know how this could've happened. She has to tell him why she was acting all weird. Because it had nothing to do with him. But then again, she couldn't make her body do it.
Slowly pacing down the hill, Ann glanced up at her school. If it wasn't for this stupid place, Carli wouldn't have called and they wouldn't have fought.
If it wasn't for that stupid school, she wouldn't have seen Jesse and she wouldn't have acted weird. If she didn't act weird, then Jesse would not think that Ann thought what he thought she thought.
She pushed on the heavy "walker's door" with all her might. All of a sudden, it opened.
"Hey." Somebody said.
Ann turned around and saw a black haired boy who had pushed the handicap button for the door.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, uh... I have to get back to class."
"Wait!!"
"What is it?" Ann said, failing the attempt to sound cute.
"What's your name? Mine is_"
"Matthew, right?" Ann blurted out. She hoped she didn't embarrass herself by saying the wrong name. But he did look like the boy in the vision which Carli liked. And Carli told her the name of the boy on the phone and what he looked like.
Yup, they matched up perfectly!
"Um, yeah, how did you know?" He asked.
"Long story, I have to get to class_"
"We have time." He said.
The bell rang.
Ann rolled her eyes,
"No we don't!"
She ran through the open door and rushed to her locker. She struggled to switch her Math book for her English one, and ran through the halls to find her English classroom.
Ann had just remembered. It was a Tuesday. Carli came over every single Tuesday. And when she did today, they could make up for their fight.
Plus, two days earlier, Carli swore she would go to school this Tuesday no matter what. Not like she wouldn't.
Ann knew that Carli would be in there. Well, she had to. Why wouldn't she? Even if she was mad at Ann.
Ann walked in and her eyes scanned across the room. Carli?
Where was Carli????
Ann ran to the teacher.
"Where is Carli? Did she come in yet?" She was nervous, obviously.
"I'm sure she's just a little tardy. Why?" Mr. Obreham replied simply.
"Nothing..."
Ann walked back to her seat. She opened up her English textbook and studied for the upcoming test which was in a couple of hours.
Ann couldn't concentrate when she was worrying about her BFF. Carli wouldn't dare miss a day of school now that she met Mr. Matthew.
I can't believe she thought he was cute!!!
Moments later~
Well, I guess he was.... AGH! Stop it! You don't like him!!
But the worst part was, Ann thought that maybe this was her fault that Carli left. A thunderstorm of guilt swept across her. She was really scared. What if she never saw Carli again? It would be all her fault.
She silently slipped out the pink journal that Jesse gave her for Valentines Day. She took out her pen and opened the barely-used book. It cracked as she opened it.
She wrote:
February 28th
Dear Diary,
I'm really scared this is all my fault! This morning Carli and I had an argument. Well, not really.. Anyway, she was blabbing all about this boy she had a crush on. I got annoyed and said, "Tell someone who cares, ok?" (GOSH I REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT!!) She hung up on me! Waahhh! And now she's not at school. She swore she would come to school to see me since she hadn't seen me for 8 days! Is this my fault?~ Tell me, dear diary! I'm scared!!! D'X
I'm still very scared,
Annabelle
Mr. Obreham hung over Ann. Closing her diary and suddenly realizing him, she gasped.
"Who are you writing about for your author report?" Mr. Obreham leaned in close to Ann, his spectacles resting on the bridge of his nose.
"Because I'm sure that's what you're writing about, am I correct?" He inquired.
Ann had already started her author report, so this was an easy question to respond to.
"As a matter of a fact, I did already begin. I'm doing Charles Dickens. His first published novel was The Pickwick Papers. That was published in March 1836. He was born in 1786. That's all I've researched so far, Mr. Obreham."
"Hmmm... yes, good work, Annabelle.." He walked to another part of the room.
Phew, good one, Anne.
Suddenly, everything became black.
Now, young one, the journey shall begin. No worries, I shall make it easy for you. Just follow my directions. Then, if you follow them correctly, you will begin. Do not ask questions, or you will have to pay minor consequences.
"Huh, what do you mean? Who's talking??"
The first consequence shall be paid.
Ann felt something or someone tie her arms behind her back. She still saw nothing.
"Consequence?" Ann hoped this didn't count as a queston.
"I have already told you. A consequence shall be paid from every question you ask me about what is happening. I don't want to hurt you, but you need to keep quiet for me to do what I need to do."
The witch who had once held the glowing ball in one of her previous visions appeared. She looked.... unexplainable.
Ann obeyed the witch's request and tried not to speak. I nreward, her hands were freed. Suddenly, a little warp hole opened at what was supposed to be "the floor". Falling into it, Ann screamed.
The witch was not even startled.
"Here we are."
They were in a forest filled with glittering trees. The leaves were silver, and they sparkled a remarkable number of times. What looked like golden-yellow, miniature willow trees had sprouted from the ground. They were by a multi-colored pond which glowed from the moonlight. The area they were in was enclosed by the glittering trees.
"Welcome to the Rainbow Pond. Dipping yourself in this pond is supposed to bring you luck. I wanted to wish you luck before you continue your journey. Oh, and by the way, you can ask as many questions as you want now!"
"Journey? What do you mean journey?" Ann asked, very confused.
"To find your friend, of course! You do want to find her, don't you? Well anyway, take a dip!" The witch answered.
"Well, yeah, but_"
"Alright then! Oh, and here, if you ever need to communicate with me, here's my crystal number. Call me writing that number down at a crystal booth." She handed Ann a small card that said:
Luna Maroon
Fairy+Witch Agent
Crystal Number- 264-697
After Luna left, Ann dipped her body into the refreshing, cool, lake. She was interrupted by a voice.
"Greetings! You're Annabelle, am I right?" A voice exclaimed as a young girl emerged from the trees.
Ann sat there, stunned. Who was she?
"Oh, goodness! Please accept my apoligies for being so rude. I am Princess Arabella. Young ruler of Mulee. Well, that's how my father said I should title myself."
"Princess Arabella" had brown-blonde hair that stretched more than half way down her back. She wore a white cloak with small, precious jewels as buttons.
"Do you feel alright?" Princess Arabella inquired, a bit worried.
"No, no.. well... I do miss my friend.." Ann said.
"It's alright... I know what it feels like to be alone... in a world you don't know_" Princess Arabella stopped mid-sentence and changed subjects.
"Well, I do have a place for you to stay! I'm sure you'll be quite thankful!" She said excitedly.
She led Ann down a path that Ann had not recognized before. It twisted and turned in every direction, and Princess Arabella never stopped to rest, although Ann was exosted.
At last, the princess came to a stop. Before her was a pack of rose bushes.
"Why stop?" Ann asked, after a few moments of silence.
Princess Arabella picked a rose. Then, Ann noticed it was unlike all the other roses. It had no thorns!
"Quantrilus Gatora Opiana!" Princess Arabella chanted as she smelled the rose. The bushes cleared. There, lay a gate.
She took her hand and flicked it at the lock of the gate. It opened.
"WOW! That was amazing, your highness!" Ann exclaimed.
As the black gate opened, it revealed a village. The black gate had became white, and a sign that read: "Mulee Kingdom" hung on the gate. In the village, black smith shops had black smoke pouring from their chimneys. Horse drawn carriages were moving all across town. Small, wood and stone houses lay on little hills. Beside them were little farms and barns.
But, in the very back, was the largest hill of all. On it, sat a stone castle. It was complete with a drawbridge, flags, high towers. It was amazing.
"Oh my gosh!!!" Ann exclaimed, filled with happiness.
"Your highness, this is beautiful!!"
The princess frowned at the title.
"Please call me Bella, may you?"
"Sure." Ann smiled and hugged her newly found friend.
Bella smiled along with Ann. Ann was one of her only best friends.
Suddenly, trumpets sounded from a distance. Making a beautiful tone, it floated through the air and into Ann's ear. It was an amazing melody.
"Oh gosh.." Bella said, sighing. She sounded worried.
"That means we have to get to the castle. And soon!" She didn't explain any further than that, but grabbed Ann's hand and ran through the town.
Bella waved her hand for a carriage. A rusty, hay filled carriage came along.
"Ugh, good enough." Bella noticed Ann's disgusted expression. They climbed onto the old carriage.
"Hurry! We need to get to the castle! Don't you know who I am??" Bella flashed a picture labeled:
Princess Arabella
The driver's face turned pale. He shouted,
"Giddy up! Giddy up!" As he pulled on the reins, the horses complained lousily. But, they still sped up.
They neared the castle. As soon as they were about a mile away, Bella took Ann's hand and said:
"Teleportia Caslania!!!"
They arrived at the drawbridge of the castle. The knights recognized Bella and let them in.
~Later~
"Yes, yes. I've brought her." Bella nodded, smiling. She was talking to the fairy at the front desk
"Is she feeling alright? Have you told her?" The fairy asked. Her wings fluttered with emotion.
"She's perfectly healthy, and I haven't told her about the surprise yet!!" Bella answered.
The young fairy told Bella to bring Ann to her room.
"My room? I have a room?" Ann asked, excited and confused at the same time.
"A suite, actually. Number 6! But you share it with other people. And I'm right next door!" Bella added.
"Wait, wait, wait! I'm sharing my suite? With who??" The puzzle on Ann's face was waiting to be solved.
Bella winked at her, and motioned Ann to follow her. They went up the spiral stairs to a hall of rooms. They passed the King + Queen's Chamber, the Prince bedroom, and The Princess Bedroom. Then last, but not least, came the guest area.
1, 2, 3 ,4 ,5..... 6!There it was!! Room 6!
Ann's excitement bubbled up inside her. She couldn't wait to see all the furniture, the layout.... plus, she was tired. A soft, soft bed to rest on...
"Open the door, I want you to see it!" Bella said.
Bella held out the key to Ann and smiled. Ann took it, but just as she was about to unlock it...
"You jerk!" A voice said. It sounded like a boy that she knew..
"What was up with that? I thought we were friends!" He continued.
There was silence other than constant, deep breathing.
"Well, how was I supposed to know that you were her boyfriend?! Plus, I think she got a little attracted too..." A completely different person replied.
Then, Ann did what she thought was right. She went into the place where the arguing was coming from. Her room. She unlocked the door as quietly as she could.
"ANN?!" It was Jesse.
Ann stood in silence as Jesse had enough courage to talk.
"What are you doing here?! I thought it was just me and_"
"Who??" Ann interuppted, dying inside to know who else was there.
"Wait, one second." Jesse motioned Ann to stay, then moved to a different area of the suite.
"Hey, JERK! Your 'girlfriend' has come to see you!"
A black haired boy came out. How could it be_
"Matthew?" Ann couldn't bear seeing two real people in a magical world!
Suddenly everything became blurry. She felt herself becoming dizzy. She felt people tugging, and yelling. Ann couldn't take it.
~~~
Thud
~~~
"It's all your fault, you idiot!" Jesse said that, probably.
"You were the one yelling, I didn't say anything!" Ok, that was definitely Matthew.
"Excuse me, but if you two are going to argue, please do it in the glass walled box. We don't want are patients being interuppted by your loud bickering." Said a person, suppposedly a nurse.
The sound of blinds opening threw Ann's eyes open. A kind nurse noticed Ann's being awake.
"Oh, hello dearie. Do you need anything? Are you hungry or thirsty? Be honest, dear." She asked, smiling a friendly, grandma type of smile.
Ann blinked and pushed herself into a sitting position.
"Um, yes please! I am starving and nearly parched." Ann tried to be enthusiastic.
The kind, old nurse walked away.
"Wait!" She stopped.
"Why am I here, ma'am?" Ann asked.
"Dearie, I was told that you fainted of exhaustion. That was all. Oh, and something about a gift from the heavens, it was titiled ...hmm.. Dawn Sky, I believe.. Well, I must get your breakfast!" The nurse replied.
"Dawn Sky?" Ann repeated.
"I best be going, dearie! Now, good day!" The nurse said, making a note that seemed to be: 'That's the end of this subject!'
The nurse went out the door and stopped outside of it. She talked to someone and shook her finger. Then she laughed and said something as she walked away. The person still stood outside the door.
A knock cracked on the door. It opened silently. In came Bella. She had a sad look on her face. She tried to look happy, but failed her attempt.
"What's wrong, Bella?" Ann asked, yawning.
"Ann, you have the Dawn Sky." Bella started to cry.
"But... the kind nurse told me that the Dawn Sky is a gift from the heavens! Isn't it?"
"Well, yes it is.. it is a gift from the heavens." Bella replied.
"But it is far more than that. It is a power from the gods which allows you to levitate things and use the power of the gods." She continued.
Ann laughed.
"Oh, that's so terribly bad!" She said sarcastically.
"If you want to keep the power, you must go up the staircase to the heavens before the 15th day since the Dawn Sky has come. You must tell the goddess whether you want to keep your powers or not." Bella seemed to know this like one would know a poem engraved on their heart.
"But the reason why I'm so sad is... well, there is said to be a horrible curse on the spell, casted by Lorantador. He's just the most evil man in all the worlds! He may try to kidnap you, Annabelle!" She still continued.
"But.. I guess that having your powers would help you get around to Carli faster. But_ be careful." Bella said.
"I miss her, Bella. I really do." Ann hugged Bella.
Even when you're a great warrior, hardships still hurt you. Physically, and emotionally.
"Wait, do Matthew and Jesse have powers too??" Ann blurted out the question as soon as it came to her mind. The thought of Lorantador's curse had obviously left her mind.
"You mean the two boys that kept arguing?" Bella gave her an odd look.
"Uh... yeah." Ann replied. They both giggled.
"Oh, no, they don't have powers. But they do have extrememly good swordsmanship. I tested each of them with their assigned Holy Sword." Bella said.
"Well, I don't really know what a 'Holy Sword' is, but I'll guess that it's some kind of special sword?" Ann said as she tried to imagine a "Holy Sword".
"Holy Swords are special swords that only certain people can wield. The sword does special things according to the wielder's personality. It turns out that Matthew and Jesse are extrememly skilled at Holy Swordsmanship." Bella explained.
"Well then_ um_ it seems you're very good at explaining things."
"Ok, well let me explain one more thing then. Jesse has the 'Earth Emblem', meaning his personality wields an earth sword. Matthew, on the other hand, has the 'Ice Emblem', meaning he has a personality that wields an ice sword." Bella said.
"And why is this important to me??" Ann said, trying not to be rude.
"Compatibility for during battle, I guess. It's my duty as your sis_" Bella stopped mid-sentence. A tear rolled down her cheek as she ran away.
"Bella? Bella!! Please, what's wrong?" Ann called for Bella.
Ann began to cry. Why was Bella crying? Why?? What did Ann do wrong? Suddenly, she felt her heart beating faster and faster. She felt her side hit the cold, marble floor. She struggled to get up, but she couldn't. What's happening??
It was in a small, sunlit room. A tall, brown haired, beautiful lady stood above two cradles. Another tall person, this time a man, with blonde hair and a small beard stood next to her. In the cradles were babies. One had a girl with tiny brown locks peeking out of the blue blanket, her hands clenching a rag doll. The other held a child with blonde strands of curly hair emerging from a yellow blanket. She held a small teddy bear. An elf came into the room, and snapped his fingers. In front of him appeared a portal. In the portal was a young Tony, Ann's mother, and Ann's father. The elf took the baby with brown locks that was wrapped in a blue blanket and cradled her. He said 'You shall never see her again! Muahahahaha!'. He threw the baby in the portal and closed it. The elf disappeared into a cloud of smoke as the couple cried over the remaining cradle.
Her eyes flew open. She was in her suite, and Matthew and Jesse stood over her. They did not fight. They looked worried.
"Ann?" Matthew asked.
"Are you ok?" Jesse asked.
Ann blinked in response. As she looked around, she saw that everything had became white, except for Matthew and Jesse.
"Hi." Ann tried a weak smile.
"Annabelle.." Jesse began.
"Come on, lover boy. Say it!" Matthew rudely interuppted, giving Jesse a nudge. Jesse blushed.
"Ann, I'm sorry_ I didn't mean_" He sighed. As he looked to his friend for advice, Matthew just shrugged his shoulders.
"Oh shut up! You're the best friend_ 'boy' friend ever." Ann laughed and punched Jesse's arm.
Jesse half smiled as he continued blushing.
"So... we need to get going. You guys know about the 'Holy Swordsmanship', right?" Ann forced her tired, aching body out of bed. Matthew reached out a hand.
He kissed her hand elegantly and then burst into laughter, as Jesse shyly stood in the corner.
"Yeah. We found out from Princess Arabella." Jesse said. The blushing was under control.
"Hey dude, she was kinda pretty, don't you think_" Matthew began, but was kicked in the shin by a female bystander.
"Hey!" Matthew shouted.
"Jealous much?!" Matthew smiled.
WHAM! Kicked again, as you can see.
"Well, are you guys coming or not?!" Ann rolled her eyes as she struggled with her own pain.
She ran to the closet to find that nothing was there.
"How are we supposed to go into a monster filled forest, with nothing to wear?!" Ann exclaimed, swinging around.
