Media Pitches by Donald Jackson

Original pitches for comics, mobile, TV or film ventures

Welcome to my online site for pitching my comics-to-film properties.

I have been writing and creating art for over 20 years.  Scroll down for portfolio and blog links.

THE CREATOR'S CONUNDRUM-

Getting producers and publishers to believe in my work based on the art and pitch is what this site is all about. The publishing industry currently picks up FINISHED books, but this does not address the issue of FUNDING the production of a book. Drawing and coloring a page takes about 2 days of work. Script writing, marketing/ promotion withstanding, creating graphic novels is a full time job. I believe it should be treated like a job, creators should be able to do this as a career with all the benefits of a "normal" job, instead of squeezing the work in between the events of life.

How? I've created a number of business concepts to address this. Like any business, the product has to generate momentum and supply a demand. If you are a forward thinking publisher or producer open to discussing this, contact me at donaldjackson06 @ gmail.com

SPARK PUBLICATIONS BLOG.

I'm trying to get a Golden Age Super Hero comics revival going in one of my publishing ventures. I'm a strong believer in the true VALUE of these classic characters, they have history as long as the great icons of American Mythology, with some wind in their sails, they could join the pantheon of heroes in our popular culture.
