Chrissie Hynde has stated that Meat is Murder converted more people to vegetarianism than just about any other statement. If enough people download, it should get in the charts and (hopefully) get some airplay. So help a new generation hear the song and possibly become committed vegetarians (or vegans) as a result.

There do seem to be different release dates for the album so it might be best to download from a site that lists Meat is Murder as a track rather than the album version. They do this on the Tesco website. If downloading from an album version, make sure it lists 2004 as the release year (as on HMV). Buy the CD if you want to but don't forget to download track 10 for it to count! Downloads cost from 79p each.
